In 'Alaska: A Story Still Being Written,' Hensley will share personal stories from a life spent helping shape Alaska’s history. From his Iñupiaq upbringing in the northwest to his role in the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), he has witnessed pivotal moments in our state’s history firsthand.

How do you mark half a century of learning, art, and science in one afternoon?

Our 50th-anniversary walking tour brought visitors across the College of Arts and Sciences to see our students and faculty in action. Guests picked up custom prints made live on an 18th-century printing press, explored the Fine Arts Building, and caught a performance by student Vocalists. Groups then walked through research labs at the Integrated Science Building, and chemistry students closed out the day by whipping up fresh liquid nitrogen ice cream to serve alongside a 50th birthday cake!

✅ Alumni Night at the Sullivan Arena

This semester's first College Alumni Night is in the books! Students, alumni and Seawolf supporters showed up in force at the Sullivan Arena this weekend, cheering on our @seawolfhockey team as they faced the Denver Pioneers. A CAS student started the game with our national anthem and tickets to upcoming Community Lectures were given throughout the game. by @uaacas

Equipped with industry-grade cameras, dynamic lighting, multi-camera switching, and live audio mixing, they ran the show for popular social media entrepreneur Kahlil Greene.
