What an outstanding 2026 Arkansas ASABE State Section meeting in Fayetteville!

The program featured presentations from new faculty Diana Vanegas, Eric McLamore, and Kendrick Hardaway on biosensors and emerging agricultural technologies, along with a competitive poster session, awards recognition, and a panel discussion with University of Arkansas department heads on engineering the future of agriculture.

Congratulations to all of this year's award recipients, and sincere thanks to everyone who attended and helped make this annual meeting such a success!

The votes are in! Congratulations to the winners of our Sustainable Watershed Engineering journal design competition.

Best hydrology design – Abby Schrah
Punniest design – Emaline Pendleton
Most artistic design – Astrid Gonzalez

These journals will serve as valuable tools for reflecting on the connection between what students learn in class and engineering design.

Thank you to all participants for your amazing creativity and to everyone who took the time to vote. by @uarkbeng

95% of BENG grads land jobs after graduation. The UARK STEM Career and Internship Fair is where those connections start. It was great seeing our students make the most of it and our alumni return to show the range of paths a BENG degree can open up. by @uarkbeng

There's nothing like the UARK BENG community!

Our annual back-to-school picnic brought students, faculty, staff, and alums together for an evening of food, games, and reconnecting.

Big thanks to Garver for sponsoring this year's picnic and bringing reverse tie-dye and yard games for everyone to enjoy.

Here's to the start of another great semester!

No phosphorus, no food. Dr. Becca Muenich is mapping how the U.S. can recycle its way out of a looming shortage, and Arkansas could lead the charge. Learn more at the link in our bio!

Great night, great group, great baseball!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our summer alumni event at the NWA Naturals vs. Springfield Cardinals game. It was great to see so many familiar faces reconnecting with old friends and mentors.
