Highlights from the opening of the most important collectible design fair @padesignart

We are at PAD preview for the 5th year, and this year is exceptionally well curated. The selection feels sharper than ever.

Here are the galleries we loved:
@voenagallery - the greatest booth of 2026! Meant to be looked up 🔝
@88gallerylondon - same old new contemporary pieces
@charlesburnand - one of our favorite galleries ever
@sarahmyerscoughgallery - new discovery for our studio and incredible works
@maisonjauneatudio - french pieces with yellow theme
@galerieboketto - fresh debut to Pad - congratulations with amazing stuff
@pulpgalerie - veery experimental vibe of the 80s
@gallery_fumi - one of the most important galleries

Three years of UB.LONDON.

Looking back through the projects, the places, the drawings, the endless samples, site visits, late nights, and all the little moments in between, it’s hard to believe how much has happened in three years.

We started UB.LONDON in 2023 with an idea to create spaces that feel personal, architectural and aesthetic.

Since then, we’ve worked on homes in London, Geneva, Dubai, Los Angeles, St Tropez and beyond. Every project has been completely different, and every one has taught us something.

There were exciting moments, difficult moments, moments when we questioned everything, and many moments when we stopped and thought, we can’t believe this is actually coming to life.

The moment between the drawing and seeing the space built is magical.

Most of all, we’re grateful for the people who trusted us with their homes, the people we’ve met along the way, and the amazing team of creatives, makers and suppliers who bring these ideas to life.

Three years in, and it still feels like we’re only getting started.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of UB.LONDON so far. taken in London, England by @ub.london

Hardware is such a simple yet creative way to make a space feel more interesting and thoughtfully designed. We think it’s one of those details that deserves to be used way more often. by @ub.london

We’re loving the wasabi color in interiors. It’s fresh, unexpected, and just the right amount of bold.

Would you bring this color into your space? by @ub.london

We love conversation pits. They naturally bring people together, create an instant sense of warmth and comfort, and make every gathering feel more connected.

They’re also a statement piece. Almost everyone who walks into a home with a conversation pit comments on it. More than just a seating area, it signals that the home was designed with intention. by @ub.london

Not AI-Generated | Concrete Villa | 1,500 m²

Recently, in the world of AI, we immediately assume that every architectural image is another automated generation. Even Instagram does so now it adds the label by default.

Here is our recent Villa project and it is not AI-generated. The architecture, geometry and 3D model were fully developed by us in Rhino and it takes about a month to develop the design.

For architects and designers, the geometry still needs to be designed, developed and controlled through 3D modelling software. AI can be a powerful tool for visualisation, but it cannot replace the level of architectural control, precision and human creativity involved in designing the architecture itself.

For our real client projects, we use AI selectively: to explore options, tweak specific elements and add final touches to visualisations, while the design itself remains fully under our control within architectural software. by @ub.london

One of the things I love most about working with period properties is finding these little pieces of history hidden in the architecture.

Here, we’re keeping the original decorative ceiling detailing and letting it become part of the new design rather than trying to make everything feel brand new. I love the contrast between the historic details and the much cleaner, contemporary elements we’re introducing around them.

We’re balancing the softness of natural timber, limestone and tactile textiles with more refined, contemporary finishes. The palette is deliberately warm and quiet, with natural materials bringing depth and texture without competing with the original architecture.

I believe that it’s always about finding that balance between respecting what’s already there and making the space feel relevant to how we live today ✨
