Game 1 - Yokohama

Our opening game of the Japan trip is against Yokohama National University on August 19 at YNU Baseball Field.

YNU competes in the Kanagawa University Baseball Federation and enters this matchup coming off a major 2026 spring season.

The team won the second division championship before defeating Shoin University in the promotion series to earn a return to the federation’s first division for the first time in three seasons.

Game 2 - University of Tsukuba

Day two takes us to Urayasu Sports Park Baseball Field for a matchup with the University of Tsukuba.

Tsukuba’s baseball program competes in the first division of the Tokyo Metropolitan University Baseball Federation and has established itself as a strong collegiate program in the region.

The team’s program emphasizes both high-level competition and development, with players balancing their studies alongside a demanding baseball schedule.

Another opportunity to compete, learn and experience Japanese university baseball.

Game 3 - Meiji Gakuin University

We continue our Japan tour on August 21 against Meiji Gakuin University at the Meiji Gakuin University Totsuka Ground.

With roots dating back to 1863, Meiji Gakuin is one of Japan’s oldest institutions of higher education. The university’s baseball program competes in the Tokyo Metropolitan University Baseball Federation.

A special day in Tokyo.

We had the opportunity to visit the Canadian Embassy in Japan and connect with members of both the Canadian and Japanese communities.

It was an incredible experience beyond the baseball field, learning more about the relationship between Canada and Japan and the connections that bring our two countries together.

Grateful for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to experience something truly special during our time in Japan. 🇨🇦🤝🇯🇵
