“Things don’t always work out the way you plan! After graduating from UB with a PhD in Physiology, I started a postdoc but quickly realized it was the wrong fit for me. I left my postdoc after just one year and was unemployed for a short time while job-searching. But I found my career as a Regulatory Scientist and have been thriving ever since!”

Our new biomedical sciences students have already begun digging into research, studies, lab life, and fun! 🧪

During graduate orientation on Aug. 20 and 21, we welcomed a great new group of incoming master’s and PhD students to @jacobs_med_ub.

Students had a chance to get to know each other, learn about resources and lab safety, check out clubs, and hear from leaders and faculty throughout the school.
