Since April, UCAN's bargaining committee has reached tentative agreements on all but a few key items in non-economics. This is a huge win for UCAN, making unprecedented pace and progress. However, we have reached a roadblock and thats where YOU come in.

In regards to non-discrimination and international worker protections, NJIT's decision makers have refused to listen. This is why we need you all to make them hear us outside, while the bargaining committee negotiates inside. This Wednesday, September 9th at 2:30 PM, join us at Eberhardt Hall to demand a safe, respectful workplace and a strong new contract! Remember, UCAN because together we can. 🗣📣✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 by @ucan.njit

Another month of protest at #DelaneyHall where we remember community members like Edwin Lopez-Cornejo and where we continue to fight for the living. If your union wants to join the picket next month sign up at bit.ly/leoi-endorse #FreeThemAll by @ucan.njit

We are fighting for what matters most: the direct asks of our members. These snippets of real proposals reflect the care and effort put in by UCAN. They also reveal the cold rejection of NJIT. Nothing is lost, we are continuing to fight to get our membership the protection they deserve.

We have an excellent bargaining team, but we need more members to pack the room so NJIT knows that we are engaged and prepared to take action to get what we need.

Sign our petition and attend bargaining to demand our needs be met! by @ucan.njit

We are fighting to make real change for our members, and we need your help. NJIT has delayed and drawn out bargaining enough. Sign our petition to join us in demanding: 1) a decision-maker for NJIT be present at the table, 2) that NJIT stop stalling, and 3) to reduce the time in between sessions.

If you want to take part in winning historic gains for academic workers, sign and share now. Remind NJIT: Newark is a union town! by @ucan.njit

In case you missed Labor Eyes on ICE yesterday we were joined by new unions like @workersunitedunion and even @teamsters. Join us Sunday, August 23rd 11am for the next one. Unions interested in joining us can do so here: https://bit.ly/44WohOq by @ucan.njit

Please sign and share as widely as you can to show NJIT that the people united will never be defeated! by @ucan.njit

More delays means more time our members spend out of contract. NJIT thinks they can ignore us and control the narrative. They think think that they have the power. Together, we can show them what true power is. Sign the petition to make your voice heard! by @ucan.njit

We have two bargaining sessions coming up this week. It is important that UCAN members show up in support and solidarity. Share this post with friends so you don’t forget!
