On 24th October, UEA Pirates take on UCL Emperors in our first matchup of the season, but this time, we’re coming together for something bigger than football.

Both teams are joining forces to raise as much money as possible for Breast Cancer Now before game day!

🎀 WHY BREAST CANCER NOW?

Breast Cancer Now’s vision is that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live and live well. We want to support that vision and help contribute towards a future where everyone affected by breast cancer can live well.

🧊 THE £500 ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE!

Both club Presidents have committed to taking the ice bucket after the game if we reach our £500 fundraising target by 24th October!

But there’s an added twist…

The UEA sports club that raises the most money by game day will earn the honour of tipping the ice bucket over the Presidents!

💗 WEAR PINK, SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!

Both teams will be wearing pink in support of breast cancer awareness, and we’re asking all spectators to wear pink too. Let’s turn the sidelines pink and show what university sport can achieve when we come together for a great cause.

Every donation counts, no matter how big or small. Help us reach our £500 target before game day!

Simply follow the QR code on the graphic to our just giving page!

Link is also in our bio!

The UCL Emperors would like to wish everyone a Happy UK Black History Month. 💜

This year’s theme is ‘Honouring Our Communities’. We as a TeamUCL club know the importance of building a strong community, and uplifting those who are a part of our community through our sport which has had many black icons, past and present. 🏈

Have a read of the stories of some of those American Football icons from across the Black diaspora, as we honour their feats and hope to inspire our and the wider UCL community with their stories. 💚💛❤️🖤
