⚡️With our newly announced Term 1 Small Show @ucl_thelightningthief and the callouts for @uclthemusical , we’re kicking off October with a month of auditions and amazing performance opportunities ⚡️ So how do the auditions for different shows work in relation to each other? Here’s our complete timeline and guidelines for a month of Musical Theatre auditions, to help you figure out which shows you can audition for and how to schedule the month! ‼️Please note that this is only for CAST AUDITIONS, band auditions and prod team interviews will operate differently, so please keep an eye out on ours and the shows’ Instagram and our WhatsApp for further announcements! Two hundred years of history. One signature. Twenty-four hours to save UCL. ⏳ Meet Connie, a brand new assistant archivist who’s always running late, and Clive, a man who has filed every document in UCL’s history and would like to keep it that way. Add an old flame, a charming peer with a suspicious interest in the founding deeds, and one very bad decision, and suddenly the whole university is at risk of disappearing. What follows is a race through two centuries of rebels, radicals and big ideas, from the founders who were told a university for everyone would never happen, to the students and staff who’ve made UCL what it is today. 🎭 This is a show about history, community, and why it matters that anyone can learn. It’s also a show with a lot of jokes, a lot of songs, and more Jeremy Benthams than you’d expect. Created and performed entirely by UCL students and recent alumni as part of artsUCL, UCL! Nolan’s The Odyssey is set to have some competition soon, from the world’s first crowd-produced musical! Epic the musical by Jorge Rivera Herrans is set to be produced in the next few years - Since 2022 it’s amassed a huge online following through the efforts of dedicated fan animations, and yet, it started as an ambitious master’s thesis. This Friday from 4:30-6pm, we’re screening Act 1 with Musical Theatre society, who will host Act 2 next week. Calling all musicians 🎶 UCL! The Musical needs a live band, and we’d love you to be in it. You’d be the very first orchestra to ever play this brand-new score, on the Bloomsbury Theatre stage from 24–28 November. We’re looking for reeds, brass, rhythm and strings (swipe for the full list). 🎶 CALLING ALL MUSICIANS! 🎶 We’re looking for musicians to help bring the music of Camp Half-Blood to life this December!
