Here, students got stuck into our Biggest Help Out, with 200 volunteers making a difference across five impactful activities all over London 🪏

More than 400 students, staff and local residents breaking the world record for the most people decorating cards simultaneously ✂️

There’s loads of opportunities to work with local community organisations and co-design volunteering projects 💻

Enjoying a meal at Seven Dials market at the end of the social enterprise walking tour 🍴

Getting creative, helping make our community brighter, greener and more connected, one mural at a time 🖌️

Networking drinks with the social enterprise sector after Innovationfest 🥂

How did we spend June? 👀

We kicked things off at Summer Festival - with sunshine, showers, and everything in between. ☀️☔️

In just one week, our volunteers:
🛶 Canoed on the Thames while collecting litter
🌍 We set an official Guinness World Record
💃 Got involved in community dancing
💜And met plenty of incredible people along the way.

A pretty good start to the summer if you ask us!

Join us for The Power of Poetry, a Community Research Methods Taster exploring how creative approaches can help us understand, communicate, and create knowledge with communities.

A Guinness World Record with a meaningful local impact 💌

Last week we paid a visit to a care home in Camden to give residents the lovely cards that you made during our World Record Crafternoon 🎨

It was a chance to connect across generations, spread kindness, and brighten up the residents' days - and a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve when we all come together as a community 💜

Bringing people together through the joy of movement 💃🕺💌

As part of our celebrations for National Volunteers’ Week and the UCL200 Summer Festival, students and members of the local community came together for a day of dance workshops, performances, and connection.

From learning new moves to sharing stories through dance, the day was a reminder of how powerful community can be. As one student put it: ”Dance is a universal language that allows people from all walks of life to connect without needing words.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a welcoming and joyful celebration. ❤️
