At United Caribbean Trans Network (UCTRANS), we envision a Caribbean where trans people are free from stigma and discrimination. We strive for a future with supportive human rights-based policy frameworks, gender identity recognition laws, and progressive, efficient transgender-focused healthcare.

Taking Caribbean Voices to London! 🇬🇧🏳️‍⚧️

It was an honour to speak at a charity event hosted by LGBT+ City of London, sharing my journey as a human rights defender from The Bahamas and highlighting the importance of investing in LGBTQIA+ communities.

As Executive Director of UCTRANS Founder of The D M A R C O Organization and the Rebirth of Pride Bahamas, I continue to use every platform to amplify the voices of Caribbean LGBTQIA+ people, particularly transgender and gender-diverse persons.

Our struggles may look different across borders, but our fight for equality, dignity, inclusion, and human rights remains connected.

Visibility matters. Representation matters. And solidarity knows no borders! 🌍❤️

Thank you to LGBT+ City of London for creating space for meaningful conversations and supporting the work of our communities.

Today, I met with Olivia Campbell-Cavendish she is recognised as the United Kingdom’s first Black transgender lawyer. She is also the founder of the Trans Legal Clinic, which provides legal support and advocacy for transgender people.
She has been involved in significant transgender human rights litigation, including supporting former High Court judge Dr Victoria McCloud in a challenge before the European Court of Human Rights concerning the UK’s 2025 Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of sex. taken in London, United Kingdom by @uctranscaribbean

An Evening of Purpose, Giving & Solidarity! ❤️🏳️‍🌈

It was truly an honour to attend a charity fundraising event in London in support of LGBTQIA+ communities and the important work being done to advance equality, dignity, and human rights.

As a Caribbean human rights defender, I understand firsthand how important funding and solidarity are in ensuring that vulnerable and marginalized communities have access to support, opportunities, and safe spaces.

Events like these remind us that our fight for equality knows no borders, and that when we come together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect, give back, and stand alongside those committed to making the world a more inclusive place. 🌍❤️

Giving with purpose. Standing in solidarity. Creating change.

Climate Change Affects Everyone, But Not Everyone Equally!

Climate change impacts us all, but for transgender and gender-nonconforming people, it often exacerbates existing inequalities and vulnerabilities.

When hurricanes, floods, and other climate-related disasters strike, many transgender and gender-diverse people face additional barriers to safe shelters, healthcare, housing, employment, and emergency assistance because of discrimination and social exclusion.

In the Caribbean, where we are particularly vulnerable to climate-related disasters, we must ensure that climate justice includes transgender and gender-diverse communities.

Climate justice is human rights justice. No one should be left behind!
