Azan Khan, a senior finance and operations double major, spent his summer as a financial analyst intern at Amazon.

He built a financial model from the ground up to improve how Amazon forecasts the costs and productivity associated with launching new delivery stations. Through his analysis, Azan identified a significant gap in existing ramp-cost projections and developed a new methodology that better captured how different station types and operating cycles ramp up over time. He presented his work to senior leadership, and the model was adopted as the standard methodology for forecasting future launches.

Gore Lecture Series. His presentation, titled Shaping Supply Systems to Meet Human Needs, will take place Thursday, Oct. 15 from 6-8 p.m. in Room 501 of the FinTech Building.
