Ukrainian Cinema. Unbreakable stories
📍Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth🤝Brought to you by @ozeukes
⬇️UFFA’26 Audience Survey⬇️

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is what Ukrainian Film Festival Australia 2026 @uff_australia made possible 🇦🇺🇺🇦

📍 7 cities
🎥 43 screenings
🎬 9 Ukrainian films
🤓 More than 2,500 attendees
🫴 Over $30,000 raised for Future Ukraine @futureukraine_australia ➡️ Olena Zelenska Foundation / Фундація Олени Зеленської @zelenskafoundation

And now - that support has reached Ukraine.

⚡️We are incredibly proud to share that a new generator has been delivered to a school in Poltava Oblast, turning the energy of the festival into real, practical support for children and their school community.

This is the power of coming together. Every ticket, every screening, every volunteer, every conversation and every donation helped create this result.

UFFA was more than a film festival.
🤝 It became action.
🫶 It became support.
💪 It became impact.

Australia watched. Ukraine felt the impact. by @uff_australia

🎬🇺🇦 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿

What happens when Ukrainian stories meet the strength, generosity and determination of communities across Australia?

A national Ukrainian film festival — powered by volunteers, brought to life by AFUO member organisations, and embraced by thousands of Australians.

The 2026 Ukrainian Film Festival Australia (UFFA) @uff_australia reached:

🎬 7 cities — Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney
🎥 9 Ukrainian films
🍿 43 screenings
👥 2,500+ attendees

But the impact went far beyond the cinema.

Together, audiences and supporters raised more than $100,000 during the festival:

💙 $69,000+ for the Ukraine Crisis Appeal @ukrainecrisisappeal
💛 $31,000+ for Future Ukraine @futureukraine_australia

This was truly a national community effort — led by AFUO member organisations and local communities, and made possible by an incredible team of volunteers across Australia.

To every organiser, volunteer, sponsor, partner, filmmaker, cinema, supporter and audience member: дякуємо! Your time, energy and generosity helped Ukrainian stories reach audiences across the country — while turning shared culture into tangible support for Ukraine.

And now, as we look towards UFFA 2027, we want to hear from you:

🙌We are raising $10,000 to buy EcoFlow power systems for the 214th Separate Assault Battalion OPFOR.

🔋EcoFlow powers their communications. It charges their drones. It keeps their medics working after dark.

🤝You can support this campaign in two ways: attend one of the charity screenings or make a direct donation to the fundraiser.

🎫Find your nearest screening and purchase tickets via the link in bio.

💙💛Whether you join us at the cinema or donate from anywhere in Australia, your support will help us purchase an EcoFlow power system for Ukrainian defenders.
