Our final blog of the summer, “Thaler v. Perlmutter and the Inherent Humanity of Art and Media,” was written by Dylan Rivas and edited by Aidan Larkin and Jake Taylor.

Rivas examines the ongoing debate over copyright protection for works created with artificial intelligence, using Thaler v. Perlmutter and related cases to explore the role of human authorship in copyright law.

As part of this piece, we have included the artwork at issue in Thaler v. Perlmutter. The AI-generated artwork is featured in the background of this post and as the blog’s featured image, giving readers the opportunity to view the work themselves and consider the questions of creativity, authorship, and human expression raised by the article!

You can read this article, along with our past blog publications, on the Blog section of our website at ulrfsu.org. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our readers who have followed along throughout this summer publication series, as well as to everyone who contributed to making this publication possible! by @ulr.fsu

Ramsay examines the consumer protection concerns surrounding the modern ticketing industry, focusing on Ticketmaster and Live Nation’s influence over ticket sales, pricing, and access to live entertainment.
