Thankful and happy that the installation I started working on last spring “So chill me. I am not afraid of death, nor the half dead or the living dead” is now installed at @västeråskonstmuseum

The work brings (among others) together a painting of Baubo, textile works depicting a snake and a tongue, memories of a room, ceramic vessels, lava from Iceland and a sprouted potato from a friend.

Tack till er alla ni, vänner, familj, kollegor, grannar från förr, studerande, och alla andra som kom på vernissagen i lördags.

Tack till superteamet på Västerås Konstmuseum som gjorde veckan i Västerås så bra. Tack @christinarunesson för hängning och samtal, Marie Ek som hängde skramlade keramik kedjor och Bengt Andersson som satte ljus och mycket annat. Och alla ni andra. Ni är klasse!
Ett speciellt tack till @martinamacqueen som lyssnat, diskuterat och följt mina tankar kring det arbete jag velat visa.
Tack till @katriningelstedt för det fina invigningstalet. Tack till @västeråsstad för stipendiet de två andra stipendiaterna @annahulth och @boljung.

Det är speciellt att få ställa ut i sin gamla hemstad och jag är glad att lära känna fler konstnärer och kollegor med Västeråsbakgrund.🫶

JOKAklubi will be performing at the finissage of the MORE THAN BEAUTY group exhibition at GalerieETAGE im Museum Reinickendorf. Inspired by the theme of the exhibition, JOKAklubi is taking this opportunity to create their very own beauty contest – with guest performers Gabi Schaffner, Susanne Bosch, Eva Schwab and Ulrika Segerberg!

JOKAklubi, together with exhibition curator Ricarda Vinzing and the guest performers, warmly welcomes you on Sunday, 4 October. The finissage starts at 2 pm, and the beauty contest will begin at 2:30 pm. Performance duration: approx. 50 min.

The MORE THAN BEAUTY exhibition features works by Judith Miriam Escherlor, Julija Goyd, Nadira Husain, Niina Lehtonen Braun, Charlie Stein and Ivonne Thein.

Kära vänner och kollegor,

Jag är så glad att äntligen få bjuda in till invigningen av mitt offentliga verk, Kissed by Baubo – muralmålning och bronsskulptur – i multifunktionshuset Masthugget Väst i Göteborg!

Samtidigt invigs fantastiska verk utav Anastasia Ax, Ilja Karilampi, SUPERFLEX och Henrik Rylander. Ett verk utav Astrid Svangren tillkommer våren 2027.

Välkommen på vernissage och visning av den offentliga konsten i det nybyggda multifunktionshuset Masthugget Väst.

I huset finns sex permanenta konstverk, som är spridda utanpå och inne i huset, allt från skulptur och måleri till video- och ljudkonstverk. På så sätt fungerar Masthugget Väst som en konsthall som är öppen för en publik varje dag. Flera av konstgestaltningarna är inspirerade av Masthuggets karaktär och historia, med sin starka prägel av musik, konst och kultur.
Den 3 september invigs fem av konstverken. Efter en introduktion tar vi oss runt till de olika konstverken i huset.
Under vernissagen är konstnärerna Anastasia Ax, Ilja Karilampi och Ulrika Segerberg på plats och berättar om sina verk.
Vi avslutar kvällen med mingel och förfriskningar.

PROGRAM
Kl. 17.30: Sarah Hansson, utvecklingsledare för offentlig konst på kulturförvaltningen, och Patric Johansson, byggprojektledare Higab, hälsar välkomna och ger en introduktion till multifunktionshuset Masthugget Väst och den offentliga konsten. (plan 6)

Kl. 17.50: Visning av konstverken i Masthugget Väst i sällskap av närvarande konstnärer. Rundvandring i grupp med fem stopp runt om i och utanför parkeringshuset.

Kl. 18.20: Mingel och förfriskningar (plan 6)
Alla är välkomna, ingen föranmälan krävs!
Du når enkelt plan 6 från alla trapphus i byggnaden, ta hiss eller trappor upp.

From giant pink boots to a hand with floating eyes, Ulrika Segerberg uses her work to imaginatively catapult both herself and the viewer into previously inaccessible worlds.⁠

Some time ago I received a working grant from the Swedish Art Grants Comitee @swedish_arts_grants_committee to return to drawing. Super thankful for the support 🙏. I spent many early mornings drawing. My friend lent me his Triumph typwriter and it feels like real work writing on it since it’s so loud. Now I’m in the process of finding a form for the approximately sixty drawings from the series Dating my House. Looking forward to see where this is heading after the holidays.
