What an unforgettable night for UMA. 🏆

At the 2026 Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence, held last night at @panpacificperth , our team was honoured with three major accolades: Restaurant of the Year, Contemporary Australian Restaurant and Specialty Restaurant.

These awards mean so much to us. Every service, every dish and every story we share with our guests is shaped by the passion, creativity and dedication of our UMA family. We are incredibly proud, deeply grateful and inspired to continue raising the bar.

Here are my top dishes at UMA in no particular order:

Pan de Yema 🥯
Egg yolk bread, whipped feta and garlic dip with toasted buckwheat oil. A must every time.

Ceviche Koto 🐟
Tuna with sole leche de tigre. Fresh, bright and definitely one to try.

Coral Gambas 🍤
Shark Bay smoked tiger prawn, cracker, salmon roe and lemon myrtle mustard.

Beef Anticuchos 🥩
O’Connor beef rump cap skewers with smoked potato purée. One of my all-time favourites here. Try this and thank me later.

Steaks 🥩
Honestly, you can’t really go wrong with any of the steaks at UMA. Pick your favourite cut.

Lomo de Cordero 🥩
Cranbrook saltbush lamb backstrap with lemon myrtle mustard and cachaça jus.

Yucas 🥔
Cassava chips with huancaína and Grana Padano. Perfect for the table.

For dessert:

Passion 🍒
One of my picks if you want something fresh to finish.

Alfajores 🍪
Peruvian-style cornflour shortbread with dulce de leche.
