Meet Exec Monday! 💌 This week, meet Aniha, our Vice President of DEI & Wellbeing!

Aniha is a junior from Voorhees, NJ, double majoring in Finance and Marketing!

Although Aniha originally wasn’t planning on joining Greek Life, she quickly realized it was an amazing opportunity to get involved on campus and step outside her comfort zone. Through her experience, she has formed some of her closest friendships and connected with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.

Having held leadership positions throughout high school, Aniha wanted to continue making an impact in college. Joining PHA Exec gave her the opportunity to contribute to the Panhellenic community while developing her professional and collaboration skills.

For Aniha, the most meaningful part of serving on Exec has been the people she’s met and the different perspectives she’s learned from. One of her favorite Greek Life memories is her chapter’s philanthropy event where everyone came together for live music, games, and a great cause!

Her advice to anyone considering joining a sorority? Be open to new experiences and meeting new people! While putting yourself out there can feel intimidating, stepping outside your comfort zone can teach you so much about yourself.

We’re so lucky to have Aniha helping create a welcoming and supportive Panhellenic community 🤸‍♀️🫶 by @umdpha

Meet Exec Monday! 💌 This week, meet Grace, our Vice President of Risk Management!

Grace is a senior from Baltimore, MD, studying Criminology & Criminal Justice.

As an in-state student, Grace originally went Greek hoping to broaden her social circle and push herself outside of her comfort zone. What she found was an incredible group of women who became some of her closest friends and biggest supporters throughout college.

After recognizing risks and concerns within the community, Grace wanted to step into leadership and become a resource and advocate for the community that had given her so much. Although she had never held a leadership position before PHA, serving on Exec has allowed her to grow as a leader while working alongside women she deeply admires.

Through balancing her chapter, PHA Exec, a part-time job, and academics, Grace says Greek Life has also taught her the importance of prioritizing what matters most and taking care of herself along the way.

Looking back, Grace says being surrounded by smart, funny, kind, and strong women has completely shaped her college experience and made her years at Maryland some of the best of her life. We’re so lucky to have Grace advocating for and helping lead our Panhellenic community! 🫶💝 by @umdpha

Meet Exec Monday! 💞 This week, meet Kayla, our Vice President of Accountability!

Kayla is a junior from Ocean City, MD, pursuing a dual degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) and History, with a minor in Professional Writing!

Kayla originally went Greek hoping to build lifelong friendships and surround herself with women who would inspire her growth, both academically and personally. What she found was a supportive community that has become one of the most rewarding parts of her college experience.

Wanting to give back to the community that shaped her time at Maryland, Kayla joined PHA Exec to strengthen her leadership skills and work alongside women passionate about making a difference. Introducing Meet Exec Monday! 💌 With PHA Executive Board applications coming soon, we’re so excited to introduce you to the women behind our Panhellenic community and share their experiences on Exec! First up, meet Ally, our Executive Vice President:

Ally is a junior from Owings, MD, studying Finance and Accounting!

Coming from a small town, Ally went Greek hoping to make a big school feel smaller and find a community at UMD. What she didn’t expect was how much the experience would shape her time at Maryland.

After being encouraged to get involved with PHA leadership, Ally saw it as a chance to step outside her comfort zone, meet more people, and grow as a leader. Through PHA, she has gained confidence, become more involved across campus, and built friendships that have made UMD feel like home.

For Ally, one of the most meaningful parts of serving on Exec is being able to represent and give back to a community that has given so much to her.

Looking back, Ally says PHA has given her some of her best friends, favorite memories, and one of the most meaningful experiences of her college career. We’re so lucky to have Ally helping lead our Panhellenic community! ❤️🤸‍♀️ by @umdpha
