It wasn't a real volcano, but it was just as exciting! Students gathered at the Quad as Trashcano brought volcanic processes to life through an interactive demonstration. Led by associate professor Alison Graettinger, the experiment used rubber duckies and colorful plush toys to simulate volcanic eruption dynamics. 🌋 Trashcano eruption with plastic toys on the Quad. by @umkc_sse

At the UMKC Innovation Studio, students are creating technology that makes a difference. In partnership with Ability KC, they have developed software to improve digital accessibility for individuals undergoing rehabilitation. Their solutions support adaptive gaming, streamline QuadStick profile creation and expand scanning access for computer use, helping patients engage more fully in therapy, access technology more independently and experience more personalized care.
