It’s interesting that great, outspoken Black fighters always receive so much illogical hate. For instance, they hated Ali (called him “Gaseous Cassius” and “The Louisville Lip”). They hated Mike Tyson. They called Sugar Ray Leonard a “runner” the same way the hated Floyd Mayweather, who weaponized the hatred against him, making it into a lucrative brand. So Claressa is in good company, and perhaps is in the most coveted position in boxing- The Most Hated Black Fighter. Now we see her breaking records and setting milestones for women fighters (She is the first woman fighter to headline a main event of this magnitude). She went undisputed in 4 weight classes and collected like 25 championships (Unprecedented in the sport). So all you haters, keep right on hating. You’re only fueling her success! #TheGWOAT #ClaressaShields by @uncle_reemz
