The leaves weren't going to rake themselves! 🍂

Our students showed up for the Physical Therapy Global Day of Service with rakes in hand, ready to help our neighbors with fall yard cleanup. Judging by the photos, they found a few ways to enjoy the leaves before hauling them away!

The Teddy Bear Clinic welcomed some special stuffed patients and their kindergarten caretakers for a day of hands-on learning about healthcare!

Our PT students joined other health professions to help these future healthcare heroes learn about staying healthy, caring for others, and what goes into keeping us all moving.

There’s more to preparing for a career in physical therapy than learning how to practice it.

Today, our student @official_apta representative shared one path to advocacy through a Flash Action Strategy.

It’s one more way our students are learning about what it means to be an active member of the profession they’ll soon be part of.

🎉🎓DOCTOR, DOCTOR! 🎓🎉

A huge congratulations to Steven Halcrow, DPT, PhD, and Kevin O’Brien, DPT, DSc, who have each recently added another doctorate to their names.

We’re incredibly excited to celebrate this milestone with two members of our faculty, and we’re not done yet. Stay tuned as we share more about their work and the expertise they bring to the Department of Physical Therapy at @uofnorthdakota!

Our annual fall Meet & Greet gives PT students, faculty and staff a chance to step away and connect outside of the classroom.

Some of the best parts of PT school happen in these moments “in between,” building friendships and creating the kind of community that makes the busy days better.

The next generation of @und_otd and @und_pt students are here!

This morning, dozens of incoming students in both programs were welcomed to the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences for their orientation. They began by day by taking their first professional head shots and with their respective "Adopt-A-Student" programs.

Then for the first time the two programs combined during orientation for a scavenger hunt within the School and across the @uofnorthdakota campus, setting the expectation of interprofessionalism on day one.

Please join us in welcoming these future Occupational and Physical Therapists to SMHS!
