‘Sonyachi Jejuri’
Turmeric as Bhandara, as a sacred offering associated with abandunce, harvest & soil. The place is revered by farming, shepherd, nomadic, and warrior communities.

When every stone crack to human bodies to statues to the unnoticed corners of the temple, become embodied by a single material, turmeric—touched by countless hands, carrying only breaths of devotion and it transforms even a rock into a shared faith towards something still and unwavering.

How our rituals, their visual cultures, these materials, their sciences for self healing, and the gestures designed around them could never have been anything less than micro-universes in themselves. A way of understanding the layered design languages hidden within ritual traces. The question occurs that if the modern products were designed thinking the ritual in mind and hence the act of moulding it, how would it turn out? taken in Jejuri Temple by @underatree__

A little outdoors in!

My favourite diwali tradition - collecting leaves from the street around to dress up corners of my house. When nature is already magically so decorated.

Something throughly enjoyable to put in this effort and feel yourself so present while you do it. It is truly a delight to see, how they adorn your space for days until it drys by @underatree__

These rice paddies and it’s ever changing greens from different angles or different stage of their growth. While the whole sky keep reflecting like a mirror in this paddy waters. Idk why i love them so much, this one thing is really urging me to paint it, and let the essence imprint deeply.

Houses of Anegundi | Series 1.

1-7 Images: Yellow painted bottom of the door frames that once must be turmeric and kumkum. Such a thoughtful act of everyday decorations. Rice rangoli for ants and turmeric at the threshold to disinfect.

8-13 Images: small simple efforts to beautify and create own little corners.
