They said I was too quiet to be a therapist.
Too unsure. Too soft.
But here’s what they didn’t see…

The countless lives touched.
The mental health workshops hosted.
Therapy delivered in an ambulance.
Talks at Bombay High Court.
Exhibitions, conferences, and community circles.

From hesitation to healing —
This isn’t just my work, it’s my purpose.

And if you’ve ever been underestimated, I hope my story reminds you:
You get to rewrite the narrative.

✨ Rooting for the ones finding their voice — one brave step at a time.

📌 Save this for when you doubt yourself.
💬 Tell me — what’s a label you’re breaking free from?

Ever heard something from your in-laws that stuck with you for years?

And you wonder…
“Why can’t I just forget it?”
“Why does it still bother me?”

Let’s break it down. 👇

Here’s the truth:
It’s not just what they said.
It’s what it brought up in your body.

Maybe you:
👉 Grew up in a home where no one asked how you felt
👉 Were taught to “keep the peace” and not speak up
👉 Learned to survive by pushing your feelings down

So now, when someone says something unkind — even subtly —
It doesn’t just sting.
It reopens something you’ve never been allowed to feel safely.

You feel hurt.
But also guilty for being “too sensitive.”
You try to brush it off — but it lingers.

And the worst part?
You tell yourself you should be over it by now.

But no one showed you how to process the emotional weight you were handed.
They just expected you to carry it. Quietly.

💔 You’re not being dramatic.
You’re remembering all the times your feelings were ignored.
And your body is still waiting to feel safe.

If this sounds like you —
✨ Comment “release” below to begin the process of letting go.
You don’t have to carry their words forever.

Your healing begins when your voice matters to you.

“Calm down” rarely makes anyone… calm down. 😅
When emotions are high, how you respond matters.
Try listening before fixing.
Validate before explaining.
A small change in words can completely change the conversation.

Being strong doesn’t mean dealing with everything alone. 🤍
You’re allowed to feel overwhelmed, ask for help, and say, “I’m not okay.”
Check in with the men in your life. Sometimes, simply listening can make a difference.

Send this to someone who needs the reminder.

The quietest person in the meeting might be paying the most attention.

Not everyone thinks out loud.

Some people need time to process, observe, and then respond.

“I need some space” can sound very different to the person hearing it.

For one, space is how they regulate.

For the other, reassurance is what helps them feel safe.

Different needs don’t always mean different levels of care.

Uncomfortable ≠ toxic.
A bad reaction, a communication gap, or a difficult phase doesn’t automatically define a relationship.

Before putting a label on it, look at the pattern, context, and impact.

The towel. The late reply. The forgotten chore.
The fight may look like it’s about that.
But underneath, it could be about feeling unheard, unseen, or unimportant.
The real conversation often starts where the argument ends.

Sometimes, it’s not the situation.

It’s everything you’ve been holding in before it. 🫠

Adult problems nobody warned me about:

• Being exhausted even after doing “”nothing”” all weekend.

• Realising work doesn’t end when the workday ends. It just follows you home in your head.

• Having money for things you wanted as a teenager... but not having the time or energy to enjoy them.

• Watching everyone move at different speeds and wondering if you’re somehow falling behind.

• Missing people but being too tired to reach out.

• Having free time and spending most of it recovering.

• Understanding your parents more... and somehow finding that heartbreaking.

• Realising some problems don’t have quick solutions. They just need time.

Nobody really prepares you for how emotionally complicated adulthood can feel.

You’re expected to keep functioning while carrying stress, uncertainty, responsibilities, grief, hope, and about 47 tabs open in your brain.

If any of these hit a little too close to home, you’re not alone. 🤍

Comment **ADULTING** if you’re figuring it out as you go too.
