If you don’t know who else is in the cap table of an artist…
you’re not investing.
You’re hoping.

DM “ecosystem” if you want to collect strategically.

If you’re tech-native but art-curious,
the problem isn’t capital.
It’s cultural friction.

DM me “bridge” if you want to understand how to collect without feeling blind.

Tala Madani paints the kind of satire most artists can’t pull off, and museums from MoMA to the Tate have noticed. Her new show Control X is at David Kordansky in LA through Oct 24. I laughed out loud more than once.
DM me “MADANI” for my take on what’s worth collecting.

Bought, gifted, or donor-driven? How a museum ends up with a work changes what it says about the artist. I’ll break it down at the Armory Saturday 9/26 at 10:30. Comment “ARMORY” for the link.

Pop art didn’t die after Warhol. It changed lens. 🖼️

In 1962 the thing being elevated was a soup can. Today it’s the act of scrolling, snapping, and glancing at a screen. Four artists elevating the everyday act of looking, and why the hand is now the most radical thing in the room.

She’s spent over a decade perfecting a technique where one wrong cut ruins the piece — hand-cut paper, used to render conflict and power dynamics with almost unsettling precision.

That practice took her to the Venice Biennale and the Havana Biennial. Her work now lives in the Pérez Art Museum Miami and the Jorge M. Pérez Collection.

And for the last ten years, she’s also been building something else alongside it — a collaborative practice with fellow artist Alex Hernández-Dueñas, showing everywhere from the Bauhaus centennial in Germany to Taipei.

Follow for the artists shaping tomorrow’s institutional collections today. 🎨

Guided tour for the Armory on 9/26. Link in bio.

Client bought purely on vibes — no research, no provenance check, just a feeling. Now she can’t resell because not enough buyers have the same playlist 😭 Vibes fade. Fundamentals don’t. Follow for the collecting mistakes nobody warns you about.

with a spray bottle of turpentine and his auction record is $422K. Doron Langberg’s best known for his intimate queer portraiture (the Met and Whitney both hold pieces) — but his landscape work is just as strong. Earlier this year Jeffrey Deitch gave him a solo show of large-scale landscapes, some up to 8x20 feet and you can still get a small work for $22k. Represented by Victoria Miro (showing at Armory this year).

I’m walking a small group through the fair on 9/26 — link in bio.
