Big Sima & Boomtown with IVRSN @ A rolling Stone in Ōtautahi was one for the books 🔥

This was the first gig for their Price of Peace EP tour and it was truly something special. They held two shows in one night with the first being an all ages event - Paving the way for our future generations to get amongst the music scene with many rangatahi getting to experience their first ever live gig and with whanau in the crowd was an Ātaahua experience 🤍

Followed by their r18 gig that absolutely went off!

Thanks for having me on board for the visuals team, big love to all involved 🙏🔥 taken in A Rolling Stone by @unitedsoulvisuals

Big Sima and Boomtown are currently on the road taking their The Price of Peace EP around Aotearoa, and last weekend they kicked things off right here in Ōtautahi with something pretty special.

Taking over The Rolling Stone for an ALL AGES live show, the night gave our rangatahi the opportunity to experience the energy of a live band and a proper gig environment, and for some, it was their very first live show!

Some of our Christchurch Hip Hop Summit team were lucky enough to be there, and seeing the excitement, smiles and dance moves from our future generation was seriously wholesome.

A massive acknowledgement to Lucas and the entire team for making this happen and creating a space where our young people could experience live music in a safe and welcoming environment.

All ages gigs matter. They introduce the next generation to live music, artists, venues and culture and nights like this can spark a lifelong love for music. This one truly set the bar.

Big salute to Big Sima & Boomtown for recognizing the importance of bringing rangatahi along for the journey and showing what an all ages event can look and feel like.

👏🏽 More of this, Aotearoa.

THANKYOU ŌTAUTAHI ❤️🖤

Special mention to all the kids + parents in these photos who made the night so special and kicked us off by setting the energy which carried through the evening, and of course to all our beautiful whānau present, we are so grateful. These are the ones we leave at home when we go out on the road, so it felt right to share this moment together.

Also massive love to our good friend @tess_nz_ at @unitedsoulvisuals on the 📸 (mean mahi sister!)

Taking a moment to Celebrate some of our most Iconic kiwi musicians for May NZ music month 🎶

There's no force on earth like the power music holds to bring the people together! There's nothing like the energy of thousands of people coming together from all different walks of life, different passions, different beliefs, all coming together for one moment, one time, joining together for the love of music! That energy is electric, the alive feeling is real! So is the come down after a big gig returning to day to day life 😅

NZ Music and photography are my two biggest passions hence how my dream was born to be Photographer / Videographer for kiwi musicians and I can't wait to see where the rest of this journey takes me ⚡️
