Heyyy thank you for the lovely bouquet, @publix 💐 Did y’all know that if you sign up for perks, you get a free bouquet every year? I put in my phone number every time I check out. That’s all I had to do for flowers. Yay me!🎉✨

Drove an hour for probably the most important and beautiful thing I’ll see this year…Peace in motion. What an emotional day. @coachshanetta and I were boohooing all the way back to the car😭 Thank you to the monks who are walking for peace at a time when lots of people need something to feel hopeful about✌🏼And thank you @alokathepeacedog for keeping them safe🐕🫶🏻✨

I stopped by this cute little place in downtown Roswell today after passing it all the time, saying I’m going to stop in. I finally did and I was so glad! I have gluten sensitivity that causes some pretty serious autoimmune issues when I do too much of it. @cristyskitchenga is completely gluten-free, but they also believe that food is medicine. So you’ll find organic, vegan and vegetarian options. All the meat and eggs are grass fed and free range. I spoke with Sebastian who is the owner along with his wife, (you guessed it) Cristy. They are Peruvian so you know there are some gorgeous empanadas! Y’all know I’m always down for supporting other small businesses. Definitely pay them a visit. I will be stopping in for a barbecue jackfruit sandwich and an empanada very soon, and my body won’t pay for it later🥰

I personally do not believe in new years resolutions. However, I love a good reset. I do like making a list of the things I’d like to accomplish in the coming year. I also love making a list of things I’m letting go of and then burning it. There’s something very cathartic about that🥰❤️‍🔥 by @universalmomma

It’s finally here y’all!📖📚🧜🏼‍♀️✨
@elle_jimenez is now officially an author🤩 This is such a proud moment for me. I have known this woman for the better part of a decade now. I have watched her go through hard things that would’ve taken some people down, and I’ve also seen her accomplish so many things I couldn’t even try to count. In all this time she damn near always accomplishes what she sets out to do, without necessarily even knowing the path to get there. She just trusts in the system, she trusts in the Universe and she trusts herself. Writing a book has been on her list of things to do for years.
Elle grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to the states as a teenager. She became a professional dancer, and somehow that morphed into being a professional mermaid. And so began the story of @themermaidelle
I could say I don’t know how it happened, because really it’s been this growing and changing unexplainable enigma. Meanwhile Elle herself was also growing and changing. She went from someone who never sits down and takes a breath, to this grounded and centered woman who prioritizes peace in her life. She is such an excellent example and role model for girls and young women trying to find their way. She’s also a fierce warrior working through her nonprofit organization, @savingtheseasorg to save the oceans that mean so much to her and sustain life for all of us. It’s been a twisting and turning adventure and I have been there for the whole ride. I’ve seen every iteration of Mermaid Elle come to life. It has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life to know Elle, be her friend and to love the human behind this mythical creature.
Y’all go get this book for your kid, for yourself, for your classroom or your library. It’s so fun and well written. The story is very sweet and gives an important message to all of us.
We need to take better care of this world if we want it to take care of us and the generations that come behind us.
This is very special and I am pretty certain this is not the last book that she’s going to write. by @universalmomma

I know things are scary right now, and it’s going to get scarier. But we have to continue to do our self-care. We don’t have the luxury of giving up.
My hope is that all of this drama and chaos will eventually bring us back around to peace. If we stop living and stop taking care of ourselves, it will not help make anything better.

Everyone just take a breath, find a therapist if you need to, and figure out a way to put positivity and good into your morning. All the problems will still be there, but you will have a moment to get centered and it will help you to deal with whatever is coming.

These are hard, insecure times, but we will get through it. We can’t be 24/7 steeped in negativity and fear. Reach out when you need to. Reach out to me, family, friends, wherever you can find peace.
Namasté, friends🙏🏼 Love y’all🫶🏻

I go into the new year every year with a simple plan of being a better person. I don’t believe in big elaborate New Year’s resolutions. I don’t need anything to make me feel bad about myself. What I need is to continue to grow and build myself up.

This year I’ve been so rudderless ever since I made the decision to leave Florida. But in all reality, I feel like I’ve actually been rudderless right up UNTIL the moment I made the decision. I’ve been putting off this move for many years. The moment I decided to leave Florida and move back to Georgia, it seems like everything just got easier and fell into place.

I knew it would be a process to get there, but with the help of my family and also my dear friend Nancy, who has allowed me to live with her in Boston since August, I’m finally wrapping up the transitional period between Florida and Georgia. My apartment is almost ready and I couldn’t be more excited about starting my life. The new year is just another perfect metaphor for how things are going.

I miss all the people I love in Florida, but we can love just as well across the miles, and we all like to travel!

My advice to everyone in the new year is do the thing that you’ve been wanting to do, but you’ve been holding back. When you do what moves your heart you’ll know it because the obstacles just get out of the way.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎉
I can’t wait to share more with you this year than we ever have. I have so many plans. I can’t wait to share.
Namasté🙏🏼 Love y’all so very much🫶🏻🫰🏼💖✨ by @universalmomma
