First performance class of the year!

Throughout the semester during our weekly studio class, we have opportunities to perform and get feedback from our peers. It’s a great way to learn about our performance nerves and see how our musical expression is translating to an audience 🎵

It's time for our Spring 2026 Semester Wrapped! As we kick off summer and begin focusing on recitals, gigs, teaching, DCI, and other exciting projects, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on everything our studio accomplished this semester.

🥁 The @unl.drumline performed at the Husker Athletics Banquet!

🥁 @unl_indoorpercussion (co-founded by studio member Gavin Gillespie) successfully completed its second season and gave numerous exhibition performances, including appearances at the PAS Nebraska Day of Percussion and with the HWAA Indoor Circuit at Lincoln Standing Bear.

🥁 Nebraska Steel collaborated with @uno.percussion for a steel pan and samba performance at the @pasnebraska Day of Percussion.

🥁 Our studio presented a successful percussion ensemble concert entitled Heavy Metal! Along the way, we had the opportunity to work with Dr. Hansen and 3D Percussion, who helped put the finishing touches on our repertoire.

🥁 We also welcomed several outstanding guest artists this semester, including Dr. Colleen Clark, Dan Albertson, and 3D Percussion.

🥁 Finally, we'd be remiss not to recognize the accomplishments of our studio members who presented recitals this semester, including newly minted Dr. @nathan_bjoin , DMA student Jacob Wrobel, and junior Gavin Gillespie. Congratulations to all three on their outstanding performances! We also want to extend a special congratulations to Dr. Bjoin on earning his Doctor of Musical Arts degree and graduating this spring. We are grateful for his contributions to our studio and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable semester. Have a great summer, and we'll see you in the fall! ☀️ by @unlpercussion
