Andromeda (M31)

This was my processed image for the Hellas-Sky Summer contest which I'm proud to say I took second place! For this image I carefully reveal the inner details of the galaxy while keeping in my view a realistic color. This was taken using a RASA 36 and you can view full contest details on their website! Thanks @hellas.sky and their talented panel of judges for putting this on and sharing high quality data 🙌

From Seestar to a full astrophotography rig

"After starting this hobby nearly two years ago with a Seestar S50 I fell in love with the night sky and sharing it with others. The Seestar was so much fun and easy to use. I eventually stumbled upon the Seestar Facebook page and was blown away with what people were doing with editing their images. I got really into it with first learning Siril then PixInsight. One day a good friend introduced me into processing space telescope data like from the James Webb. Then I started editing data from remote telescopes of different kinds. After seeing the kind of quality you could get with amateur equipment I knew I had to build my own rig one day. At last that time has come! I will still continue to use my Seestars as they are so easy to grab and go. Finally sorry for all the clouds this will bring 😆"

Take a look at what Jason has already captured with his ZWO setup.

The Butterfly Nebula (IC 1318)

A large dust lanes splits the bright wings of the Butterfly a large emission nebula in Cygnus 2,100 light-years away. Comprised mainly of ionized hydrogen energized from nearby stars. The bright star Gamma Cygni located a bit closer at 1,800 light years away is about 150 times the Sun's radius. An incredibly bright and large yellow-white supergiant star.

I'm excited to present my first completed image from my new setup! Hope y'all enjoy it as much as I do. For full res my astrobin link is in the bio.

The Ghost of Cassiopeia (IC 63) the

Dust and gas bathed in starlight ✨ finally this project is complete 😌. This was quite the challenge of gathering low bortle data and then combining that with data collected from home. In all 30hrs duoband with the ha continuum subtracted and added to 26hrs of broadband. Hope you like it!

Waning Gibbous mineral Moon from last night. I love how the details pop on these mineral moon photos. You can really see how the meteor impacts spread across the surface. Have you checked out the moon lately?

The Polarissima Cluster (NGC 188)

Normally open clusters like this drift apart but this is a rare survivor. Clocking in at approx 6.8 billion years old it survives due to its location high above the galactic plane of the Milky Way away from most gravitational interactions that might pull it apart.

The Pleiades Cluster (M45)

445 light-years away in Taurus the Pleiades shines brightly. An open cluster full of young hot blue luminous stars that will be short lived(relatively speaking). The dust surrounding the cluster is lit up by the scattering of nearby star light.
