From @dragraceukbbc to presenting their own @primevideouk documentary 🎬🏳️‍🌈 UoG @uogact and @uogmt lecturer, Simon Wegrzyn, who competed as their drag persona @coppertoppqueen, has written and presented ‘Living Out Loud', a deeply personal exploration of LGBTQ+ experiences across the UK. The documentary sees Simon reflect on their own journey and share stories from members of the LGBTQ+ community, while exploring the changing landscape of LGBTQ+ rights in the UK. ‘Living Out Loud’ is available on Amazon Prime. A huge congratulations to Simon on this fantastic achievement! 👏🎥 by @uogact
L6 Drama’s SOLD OUT production: The Mesh is a dystopian new play set in a fractured future, where “Frames” (humanoid beings built to serve) begin to question their place in the world. They whisper of freedom. They demand equality. They claim innocence… yet reach for power. But are they truly different from the humans who made them? Blending sharp political commentary with raw human emotion, The Mesh explores inequality, patriarchy, xenophobia, and queerness against a backdrop of billionaire influence, rising radical movements, war, and a collapsing health system. As tensions rise, one question remains: Are they the victims of their creators… or the architects of their own fate? Or will everything and everyone crumble? The Mesh was Written and Directed by Simon Wegrzyn and co-created by L6 Drama and Performance Practice. #TheMesh #NewTheatre #DystopianDrama #PoliticalTheatre #NewWriting by @uogact
🎭 A fantastic workshop with Travelling Light Theatre Company! Our Level 6 students, studying Performing Arts in Education, had the opportunity to explore making theatre for children and young audiences – something Travelling Light specialise in. A massive thank you to Rachel and Liz from @tl_theatre for such an inspiring and creative session! We can’t wait to see what our students dream up for their Key Stage 1 performance! 👀 by @uogact
