“I don’t do what’s trending—I do what’s HEALTHY.” 💅🏽🧠

I grew up in the generation where a comb and a lil’ Blue Magic had us just fine 😂… but somewhere along the way, healthy hair care got replaced with using more and more product.

And as a stylist, one thing I want y’all to pay attention to is PRODUCT BUILDUP. 👀

A lot of today’s braiding products are formulated to give us that super-sleek, laid finish—but depending on the ingredients, how much is used, and how long it stays on the scalp, that buildup can become a problem.

And baby… more product does NOT automatically mean a better protective style. 🗣️

Remember when everybody started getting away from heavy grease because we wanted our scalps to “breathe”? So why are we now coating the scalp in layers of styling product just because the finished braid looks good on camera? 🤔

That’s why I teach healthy hair BEFORE trendy hair.

Before you follow every new hair trend:
✨ Learn what’s actually in the products you’re using.
✨ Pay attention to how YOUR scalp responds.
✨ Keep your scalp properly cleansed.
✨ And remember—a protective style should actually PROTECT the hair underneath it.

Sometimes the newest technique isn’t the healthiest technique.

And sometimes… if it ain’t broke, you don’t have to fix it. 💋

I personally think everybody should be able to do a basic makeup application for special occasions but to each their own!!!

As for me that’s what I’m doing and being able to perform beauty services on myself is definitely a flex but when my schedule is fully booked out personal services start to get pushed further and further apart, so when I get the chance baby I’m either booking an appointment with my MUA friends or I’m doing it myself!!!

I became a YouTube University MUA graduate because I love everything abt hair and beauty and I love how it brings the entire look together but since I’ve been in school, my schedule has now allowed me to have more self-care time with my self and I also get to be more creative with my hair and makeup now a days!!!

Stay tuned more fun looks to come! I’m out of my corporate girl phase so don’t expect none of that!!!

Can y’all tell my love language is acts of service!!!!

I have never needed validation from the locals when I decide to do hair or anything as I think abt it!!! I just wanted fun & positive people who understood the plan but keep me motivated when I got tired or bored along the way!!!

Over the years I have learned pivot into new directions as well as combine my love for BEAUTY, DIY’ing and some self taught iPhone photography skill to create the content I wanted!

Things people don’t know abt me is I be so tired of serious boring appointments so I decided to create an ✨EXPERIENCE✨because on the island, I wanted to my client’s to understand we have fun!!!

I wanted clients like myself! Hair is a priority but I wanted it to be fun and creative as well!

Me and my ISLANDERS(clients) literally be doing everything and then some at their beauty appointments and we love it lol I always a fun time!
