Sometimes keeping a steady course means slowing way down. 💙 After a wonderful run of Polly’s Army of One in Monterey—and an unexpected foot injury—I’m practicing receiving help, making room for rest, and letting the next chapter unfold. If life has changed your plans lately, consider this your invitation to give yourself a little grace. We can still dream big from a seated position. ✨ What’s helping you stay steady right now? #LifeOnLifesTerms #GiveYourselfGrace #CreativeLife #DrawYourFuture #PollysArmyOfOne by @upyourcreativegenius

Thank you Monterey!!!! You showed up for Polly. ❤️ Hearing your laughter and tears and cheers during Polly’s Army of One was a gift. Hearing what the story meant to you afterward? I’m still taking that in. Thank you to everyone who came, shared your heart, and reminded me why this story matters. Thank you to Karen Devaney and @soapboxstageworks for bringing the Central Coast Solo Festival to Monterey, and to the wonderful crew who made us feel at home onstage. Here are a few voices from the audience. I’m holding every one of them close. 🥧✨ #PollysArmyOfOne #CentralCoastSoloFestival #MontereyTheatre #SoloTheatre by @upyourcreativegenius

Well, Polly’s Army of One gave me one more story to tell: I tripped in the theatre, hurt my foot, and somehow made it through the show. The love coming from that audience carried me all the way. ❤️ To everyone who came, laughed, listened, and cheered: thank you. And my heartfelt thanks to the crew, our producer, and @soapboxstageworks for bringing us together and taking such good care of this show. I’m sore, grateful, and still glowing from the night. ✨ by @upyourcreativegenius

Last night, I brought Polly’s Army of One to the stage in Monterey. Afterward, a few audience members shared these words with me, and I’m still holding them close. Thank you to everyone who came, laughed, listened, and let Polly’s story into your heart. This show is about the sometimes funny, sometimes painful journey toward being yourself. Getting to share that journey with you meant the world to me. We have one more show tonight, September 26, at 7 PM at the Stanton Theatre, 5 Custom House Plaza, Monterey, as part of the Central Coast Solo Festival. If you’re nearby, I’d love to see you there. Come as you are. 💗 Tickets: link in bio. #PollysArmyOfOne #CentralCoastSoloFestival #MontereyTheatre #SoloTheatre #LGBTQStories by @upyourcreativegenius

One-woman show. Two women who clearly need supervision. 😂🎭 We made it to Monterey! That’s Nancy Cranbourne, my director, beside me. As you can see, we are taking ourselves VERY seriously. We’re here with Polly’s Army of One—a funny, fierce, deeply personal story about growing up gay and finding the courage to be yourself. Come laugh with us. Maybe cry a little. Bring someone who could use a reminder that they belong. 💕 📍 Stanton Theatre, Monterey 🗓 September 25 & 26 • 7 PM Part of the Central Coast Solo Festival, produced by Soapbox Stageworks. 🎟 Tickets: soapboxstageworks.org Know someone nearby? Send this their way. Polly’s army has room for a few more recruits! #PollysArmyOfOne #CentralCoastSoloFestival #SoapboxStageworks #MontereyEvents #SoloTheatre LGBTQStories by @upyourcreativegenius
