Sweet cinematic drone footage captured by Kieran Scot Donnelly, of “The Supporters” canalside mural we painted back in 2012. Great to see the wall from new viewpoints and to see how it sits within the Jewellery Quarter cityscape. Still looking fresh even after nearly 12 years. #art #graffitiart #mural #drone @djiglobal by @urbancanvas

Hand painted stairway mural at Nottingham Castle linking three floors providing a transition leading visitors to the Rebellion Gallery.

This mural was designed and painted whilst the UK was in lockdown. Thanks to the models who posed for the portraits, all are local people and rebel spirits…Kate, Edan, Kieran, Lucie, Rosemary, Sharon my next door neighbour, Kool from my paper shop and my Barbers son Mason.

Such a memorable experience driving to the Castle through quiet Nottingham streets each day. This was the perfect hideout whilst the world was going mad and I did not want to leave. Witnessing the Castle grounds and the views across Nottingham transition from Winter to Spring to Summer was an inspiration and it was an honour to work on a site steeped in such rich history.

Having the stairway to myself (great acoustics!) and been given the trust and space to create and develop my skills by a marvellous and dedicated team at the Castle was a privilege. Goosebump moments every day singing badly along to my favourite songs whilst painting… and a few tears as well.

It is a mural about hope. #worldmentalhealthday #pinitformentalhealth #mural #muralart by @urbancanvas

“By Industry & Honour” canalside mural Rotherham 2023. Drone footage and edit by Kieran Scot Donnelly. #streetart #mural #murals #publicart by @urbancanvas

Putting the finishing touches on a mural in Stanton Hill alongside Ste @sierra.tango.echo. Great to have been part of the community there for a fortnight and to have had the chance to meet and chat with so many characters from the local area.

The mural features a miner holding a lamp. The lamp belonged to Ste’s grandad, who worked at one of the local pits in nearby Shirebrook. So special to have this in the design, and a magic moment watching Ste pay tribute to his grandad by painting his lamp with such care and precision.

Looking forward to the full unveiling when the scaffolding comes down next week.

Big thanks to Non Such Studios and Ashfield DC for the commission. Thanks also to local firm MM Scaffolding Solutions for supporting the project and pulling out all the stops to get us set up on the wall at short notice.

Big shout out to the team at the local Co-op for letting us use their kitchen and kettle, and to George and Doug for their encouragement and for sharing their passion and pride in their local town. by @urbancanvas

A hand painted carousel horse feature wall, created for the office of Nottingham’s and the UK’s greatest showmen, The Mellors. Accompanied by a fitting sign written quote from P.T. Barnum:

“The noblest art is that of making others happy.” by @urbancanvas

A little stroll through a mix of artwork we created for Baresca Mere Green this summer. The job included a stairwell mural, textured paint-effect walls, a custom Salvador Dalí canvas and a Picasso-inspired feature wall, all designed specifically for the space.

Great to work alongside Nottingham restaurateurs the Perkins family again on their new venture, and to have played a part in helping to bring their vision to life. by @urbancanvas

Painted this mural of Peter O’Toole at the Radisson in Leeds eleven years ago. Earlier this year I was back in the city with my son, checking out the university, and we happened to walk past. Couldn’t resist popping in to see if he was still there. Great to see the wall looking just as I left it and pleased the artworks having such a good run.

Congrats Kieran on getting a place at Leeds University, and good luck moving up there this weekend. by @urbancanvas

Looking forward to tomorrow’s official opening ceremony for the Spring Grove Primary School mural, painted over the summer holidays. The mural which overlooks the playground features seven painted portraits of pupils from the school, who were all a joy to work with.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this project happen ⭐️ by @urbancanvas

Having the chance to paint a mural celebrating Sir Kenny Dalglish was special enough, nevermind painting a second one. Then seeing King Kenny standing in front of the murals and watching him add his signature to the walls was the stuff of dreams. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this moment and these murals happen.

Thank you Sir Kenny, for your kind words, for taking the time to speak with me and my family, and for signing Lucie’s Scotland top amongst other things.

Thanks to all the team at Arc for their kind hospitality and for setting us up each day with finest breakfast in all of Liverpool. Cheers to Stew & Connor for getting the walls all ready for us and for being on hand for whatever we needed. Thanks too to Don over the road for the lend of a broom, a dust pan, masking tape and more.

Big shout to Kieran @urbancamerauk for photography and for capturing some unbelievable drone footage well worth the drive to chase the sunset and the 5AM start to catch the sunrise.

Didn’t walk alone painting these… super massive thanks to Ste and Elliott for working alongside us on long shifts in all weathers, couldn’t have turned these jobs without yas.

Go on!

Large scale restaurant interior artwork for PF. Chang’s Sidra Mall Riyadh. A successful project that featured 2 giant framed mural panels that were hand painted on site back in 2018. Custom original design by @hoodtheartist. Shout to Zebra Projects for the opportunity and to Art Painting Lab on the production. by @urbancanvas

@sirkennethdalglish signing his mural yesterday at @thearchotelliverpool, mural painted by @urbancanvas… It was a pleasure to be able to capture this moment and to also follow it up with some aerial shots of the painting with Anfield as a backdrop. by @urbancanvas
