Urban Gleaners @urbangleanerspdx is a Portland, Oregon-based food waste rescue squad that collects fresh food before it can go to waste – then redistributes it to people in need. Formed in 2006, the nonprofit believes that ugly is good enough. #foodwaste #freshvegetables #produce #portland by @urbangleanerspdx

We're approaching the final month of our 2026 farm harvest season, and we need your help to finish strong! If you haven't joined us for a harvest with one of our lovely farm partners, you can still sign up. We especially need volunteers for Flying Coyote Farm harvests, which are happening every Wednesday from 9:30-12:30 through the end of October.

You can also join our Farm Harvest Volunteer group to hear about other upcoming farm days. No experience is needed; we'll work together to gather organic, local produce for UG's network of free food markets. And of course, we'll send you home with some freshly harvested goodies to enjoy!

Summer Supper wouldn’t be possible without the incredible generosity of our in-kind sponsors! ❤️

From farms and food producers to local businesses and community partners, these organizations donated food, ingredients, products, services, and so much more to help bring Summer Supper to life.

But their support goes far beyond one special evening. Urban Gleaners’ work happens year-round, and we couldn’t do what we do without the farms, farmers, businesses, and community partners who help us recover and redirect good food to the people who need it.

A huge thank-you to:

Bella Organic • Bowery Bagels • Charlie's Produce • Chef's Warehouse • The Community Ecology Center • Copihue Farm • Cowbell • EVO • Flying Coyote Farm • Gathering Together Farm • Grand Central Baking Company • Happiness Family Farm • Organically Grown • Rubinette Produce • Sauvie Shrubs • Serioys Goose Farm • Three Sisters Nixtamal • Unity Foods • Whole Foods • WCP Solutions • Zenger Farm

We’re so grateful for your generosity, partnership, and commitment to keeping good food in our community. 🧡

Want to support the local food system, too? There are lots of ways to show up:

🌱 Volunteer with Urban Gleaners and help glean food directly from local farms.
🥕 Join a CSA from a local farm and support farmers directly.
🛒 Shop at local farms, farmers markets, bakeries, food producers, and small businesses.
🍎 Choose locally grown and produced food whenever you can.
🤝 Follow, share, and support the local businesses and organizations doing this work in our community.

Every purchase, volunteer hour, and act of support helps strengthen the local food system and helps make the work of organizations like Urban Gleaners possible all year long.

Thank you to these amazing partners for helping us celebrate 20 years of Urban Gleaners and for being part of our work beyond Summer Supper. ❤️
