Our space ❤️ by @urbanstead.au

Our baking classes are super hands on, messy and so much fun!

In our sourdough class we cover everything from making your starter to folding, shaping, baking your loaves at home as well as how to add inclusions to your dough.
We really enjoy sharing our knowledge and make sure to include plenty of time to answer any and all questions you may have during the class.

We have a few spots left for June 7th, and will be adding more to our website shortly. They do fill up fast, so make sure to get in quick!

Some Ella-magic ✨ for your viewing pleasure - chocolate rye sponge layers are on again this week!

On Fridays and Saturdays at Urbanstead you’ll find a cake on the counter, available whole or by the slice. This cake sprinted out the door last week, so we’re bringing it again.

Three layers of chcolate rye sponge sandwiched with whipped caramel and mascarpone cream, finished with a silky chocolate ganache, flaky salt and crushed cacao nibs.

We use @cuvee_chocolate in all our baking. We love the quality, integrity and flavour of their chocolate. Beautiful rye from @woodstockflour 🌾 Cake excellence from @ellacoop 🫶

Pre order yours via the link in bio. See you soon! by @urbanstead.au

As the weather warms you’ll find us sipping Table Tea.

From the zero-alc legends behind T.I.N.A, Table Tea is a sparking green tea infused with apricot. It’s simple and so refreshing! by @urbanstead.au

Our sourdough baguette with Woodstock Flour’s certified organic spelt flour. Just the right balance of crust and crumb, with beautiful flavour from that fresh spelt.

Providore, lately 🥰

Did you know that we sell a bunch of our favourite things from producers we know and love? From staples like @marketlane coffee, @woodstockflour flour, @stdaviddairy milk, @mountzeroolives, oils and grains, and @gippslandpastured eggs to secret sauces for delicious quick dinners. We’re preserving throughout the year and have housemade jams, marmalades, pickles and more.

We also sell equipments essentials and of course our recipe books for the home baker. Check out our retail selection next time you pick up a loaf.

Open Wednesday-Saturday, 8am-2:30pm. We’d love to see you soon 🤗 by @urbanstead.au

The Urban Loaf.

Our signature loaf, with whole grain wheat and rye flours for flavour, texture and nutrition. A bit like a country loaf, but in the city 😉

Loaves are selling out earlier each day, so remember to pre order to snag yours. Link in bio.
