Our organization was blessed with an opportunity to receive recognition from an awesome organization @thesixlb on yesterday. The highlight was being able to see the many youth talents and those in attendance celebrating black history month. It was a beautiful view and we had so many supporters come and express the impact that our organization has had on them and this truly made me happy.

I want to give a huge shoutout to my vp @matriarch_of_vermont for always believing in the vision and having a desire to create change and opportunities for the youth, we are making it happen and can’t wait to see what hard work and opportunities we are able to make available for the community in the years to come 🙏🏾

Thank you to my sponsors and donors and friend and family who day in and day out come to each event and bring the kids. Nothing goes unnoticed and those moments allow our organization to really pour into our youth so we thank you for trusting us.

As we are entering into 2026 we pray and ask that you continue to support our team as we grow and continue to be on the frontline for the youth and community. ❤️

Congratulations to all the award winners as you all truly are making an impact to bridge the gap for our youth and giving them options to thrive. That doesn’t come easy but you all are made for it so keep on striving.

Our team is excited to prepare for Thanksgiving and continue our commitment to supporting local families through our Adopt-a-Family Thanksgiving Drive. 🦃❤️

We are currently seeking donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to help us raise funds and provide essential groceries and financial assistance to families in need this holiday season.

Every contribution makes a difference, and no donation is too small. If you would like to volunteer, donate resources, sponsor a family, or partner with us in another way, we would love to hear from you. There are many ways to support this important effort.

To make a donation, please visit our website or send us a message to learn about additional ways to contribute. We will also be releasing custom merchandise for the holiday season, with proceeds supporting our Thanksgiving initiative.

Together, we can help make Thanksgiving a little brighter for families in our community. ❤️

Saturday, URBAN RESET FOUNDATION held our 7th Annual Backpack Drive, and out of all the events we do throughout the year, this will always be one of the ones I look forward to most.

I’ve had the privilege of being part of Urban Reset Foundation since the groundwork was still being laid, back when it was just a dream slowly turning into a goal.

I started as an anonymous contributor and program developer. No one knew that I was the COO, serving as Bruce’s right hand man. I kept it that way on purpose because… I’m shy.

Almost ten years later, I can say that helping build Urban Reset Foundation has been one of the greatest adventures of my life. But on backpack drive day, I get to take my business hat off.

I get to go sit at the art table.

The art station gives me space to put on my creative hat, sit beside the kids, pick their brains, listen to their stories and remind them that what they create matters. It also gives me the opportunity to talk with their parents, hear a little about their lives, share some encouraging words and, apparently, get a few dances in too.

Because art humanizes life.

The world gives us plenty of black and white.

We provide the colors.

Watching every little artist decide what their colors would be, encouraging them, cheering them on and seeing how proud they were of what they created was the highlight of my day.

To every parent I had the opportunity to talk to, laugh with, dance with and encourage, thank you for allowing us to be part of your community.

And to the kids:

I see you.
I hear you.
I am here for you.

And for the ones who keep showing up at event after event, I recognize those familiar little faces. I look forward to seeing you. That matters to me more than you probably know.

Seven backpack drives later, we’re still here.

Still showing up.
Still creating.

Thank you Bruce for trusting my vision, for every argument and laugh throughout this journey.

Follow @urfoundation for upcoming events and programs, and visit www.urbanreset.net to learn more.

We’re always somewhere around Long Beach and Los Angeles, doing the work.
