Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [City, State]. I’m calling to urge [Senator/Representative] [Last Name] to vote NO on the rescission package, H.R. 4.

This bill proposes devastating cuts to essential global programs that save lives and promote stability. It includes:

$900 million in cuts to global health initiatives, including PEPFAR, which has saved millions of lives around the world from HIV/AIDS;

$200 million in cuts to contributions to international organizations like USAID that deliver critical development and humanitarian support;

And billions more in cuts to disaster relief, refugee assistance, democracy promotion, peacekeeping, and economic development efforts that reflect America’s values and leadership on the global stage.

More than 250,000 people have lost their jobs—people who dedicated their lives to building a safer, healthier world.

Experts estimate 14 million lives could be at risk.

This isn’t just a policy decision—it’s a global unraveling.
It’s families without paychecks. Clinics without medicine. Futures without safety.

📅 As of May 30th, we mark 4 months since the USAID Stop-Work Order was issued.

💔 The toll is staggering — over 233,000 jobs lost globally, and in Bangladesh alone, more than 50,000 professionals have been forced out of work. These aren’t just numbers — they’re healthcare workers, community organizers, and changemakers whose livelihoods vanished overnight.

🌍 Projects supporting education, health, gender equality, food security, and climate resilience have ground to a halt. The devastation continues — not just for the workers, but for the millions of people they served.

📝 We will keep documenting the damage — to ensure this administration is held accountable and cannot rewrite history on the harm it has caused.

Secretary Rubio testified that no one has died due to USAID funding cuts.

But in February, Mercy Corps was forced to abruptly end its food program in Dikwa, Nigeria—a program entirely financed by USAID.

Two weeks later, Yagana Bulama buried one of her infant twins.

She has no more tears, only dread:

“I don’t want to bury another child,” she said.

This is the human cost of policy decisions.
Cuts have consequences. Lives are being lost.

In the face of funding cuts and disappearing archives, we’re reclaiming the story.

On behalf of #USAIDStopWork, we’re proud to spotlight the incredible work of Institute for Development Impact - I4DI, who have launched #DECfinder—a powerful tool restoring access to decades of USAID learning and documentation.

With over 110,000 documents recovered from the now-hidden USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse (#DEC), DECfinder offers development professionals, researchers, and advocates a lifeline to vital knowledge: policy papers, strategic plans, impact assessments, performance reports, and more.

This tool is a public good—and a testament to what it looks like to safeguard transparency, accountability, and global development evidence in a time when so much is being dismantled.
