Four days. Twelve teams. One World Champion.

San Francisco Bay may have a reputation as a stern teacher, but skipper Pauline Courtois (FRA) and her Match in Pink by Normandy Elite Team proved to be quick studies at the 2026 World Sailing Women’s Match Racing World Championship.

With light winds, strong current and some of the closest racing we’ve seen, these teams earned every inch of it.

Congratulations to our champions, Courtois with Match in Pink by Normandy Elite Team, for their 6th world championship and to every sailor who made this week what it was. In second place was StFYC team Vela racing with skipper Nicole Breault, followed by Team Out of the Box from The Netherlands in third place.

Thank you for racing with us at St. Francis Yacht Club. by @usmatchracing

Three days down. One left to go.
San Francisco Bay tested every team out there today with lighter than normal winds and strong current.

What stood out most wasn’t just the competition. It was the respect between these sailors, win or lose.
Tomorrow decides it all. One team becomes Women’s Match Racing World Champion.

Day 2 was an unconventional one on San Francisco Bay. An AP flag kept us waiting until 1:15pm, but once the breeze filled in, race committee got all 5 remaining flights in to wrap up the Round Robins.

Quarterfinals start tomorrow. Results and photos linked In bio! by @usmatchracing

Day 1 brought all the conditions to challenge our Women’s Match Racing teams: light winds in the morning, fog, a heavy flood and building winds by the afternoon. We saw tight competition throughout, highlighting the skilled sailors we have competing in this world championship.
