On Friday, I met with the @vtcorpsofcadets to discuss service and leadership as they develop the mental and physical toughness, discipline, and character required to earn the privilege of leading the men and women of our Armed Forces. That responsibility demands their best every day.

Leadership is a responsibility, and preparing for it starts long before commissioning. The standards they set for themselves today will shape the leaders they become tomorrow. by @usmc_commandant

Last week, @usmc_commandant and I visited The Basic School to speak with instructors and engage with the Marines of Delta Company. These conversations give us an opportunity to share experiences and provide insight to the officers who will lead Marines throughout our Corps.

We also recognized TBS Marines for their ingenuity and the innovative solutions they brought to their unit. Thank you for your hard work, Marines! Semper Fi.
