It’s OPENING NIGHT! Get your tickets now—doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm April 23-25.
Seen here, “Form, Fractured, Formed Again,” choreographed by senior dance major Chloe Jones, explores themes of tension and release. Through her own experiences as an evolving artist, Jones investigates how physical and emotional strain coexist with moments of clarity, adaptability, and trust. The work examines how dancers carry layered histories within the body and how these experiences inform movement, identity, and artistic choice. Rather than resolving tension, the piece embraces it as a generative force that shapes growth, resilience, and self-definition over time.

“To Be Alive”, choreographed by senior dance major Rain Walley, explores the dancers’ connection to their senses and one another. This work was inspired by everyday experiences we sometimes forget to appreciate and moving through life with a bit of playfulness. Join USD dance for our “Bloom” concert this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm. Tickets at link in bio!
