So many emotions to cover. Mostly pride. Proud of how Jane has grown as an athlete, not just in the past year, but in the past month even more. Overcoming a slow start to sneak into finals only to explode in the final moving first from 8th to 4th, and then round 6 magic hits again and moving into 2nd!
.
The goal for today was to throw 14m, and then whatever happens, happens. Well, NATIONAL RUNNER UP IS WHAT HAPPENED!
.
Highest finish by a #Pioneer at nationals!

Congratulations to Allie Cary and Bennett Melita, who both picked up some All-American accolades at last week’s NCAA Division III National Championships!

Melita notched his first career All-American honor, while Cary managed to grab TWO All-American nods at just this event, finishing top 16 nationally in both Shot Put and Discus!

ANOTHER ✅✅✅

Allie Cary wraps up a spectacular sophomore season with her THIRD All-American nod! She managed a 13.06m toss in today’s shot put to claim 14th place and her second All-American placement of the outdoor championships!

Her one indoor and two outdoor All-Americans give her a rare trio of honors! The future is bright 💪💪
