This Soufflé Suisse at The Wolseley is one of my favourite things to eat in London. Light and fluffy inside, golden on top, with the most delicious rich, cheesy sauce. Definitely a dish worth going back for.

I love a beautiful restaurant, but it’s having a dish you keep thinking about afterwards that makes somewhere a favourite. For me, this is that dish.

I’ve been to Carbone many, many times and somehow always end up seated in the back room. Still not sure what it takes to get a table in the main room!

Even with that, the spicy rigatoni alone is worth coming back for. Rich, creamy, with just the right kick; it’s the dish I keep returning to, visit after visit.

The Caesar salad gets plenty of fanfare, but I’m not its biggest fan. For me, the pastas are the real draw. Stick to those, and you’ll want to come back for seconds!

Semma comes with plenty of buzz, but this time, the food gives you something to talk about.

The dosa was a highlight; golden, crisp, and beautifully paired with its accompaniments, one of the best Dosa’s I’ve had in a while. The curries brought bold flavors and layers of spice, with thoughtful presentation that let the food take center stage.

For me, the appeal is in seeing Southern Indian food celebrated with so much love and confidence. Familiar flavors, a contemporary setting, and a meal worth coming back for again and again ! Can’t wait for round 2 !

Apollo Bagels comes with plenty of buzz, but for me, the bagels didn’t quite live up to the hype.

The sourdough style brings a crisp crust and a chewy center, but it wasn’t enough to make this a standout. A good bagel should leave you wanting another bite; this one left me thinking of better ones I’ve had in LA.

Overrated, in my opinion, and proof that New York doesn’t always have the last word on bagels !

Tucked into the West Village, Don Angie brings a little Italian-American charm to downtown New York; intimate, buzzy and the kind of place that calls for good company and a generous appetite.

The menu gives familiar Italian comforts a playful twist. The signature pinwheel lasagna for two takes center stage, alongside stuffed garlic flatbread and a chrysanthemum salad piled with Parmesan; dishes that invite you to share, although you may want them all to yourself.

Indulgent, full of personality and a very good reason to plan your evening around a dinner reservation !

The crowd is young and decidedly in-the-know; the kind of place that feels discovered rather than designed to be discovered.

Azur is undeniably beautiful; chic, buzzy and with a gorgeous courtyard that makes you feel like you’ve escaped Beverly Hills for somewhere on the Mediterranean. The setting is absolutely the reason to come.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the surroundings. The grilled artichokes were fine, as were the squash blossoms, the tuna nicoise salad was a total meh, and while nothing was particularly bad, nothing really stood out either. It was one of those meals I’m probably not going to remember next week ; perfectly pleasant in the moment, but missing that dish you’re still thinking about the next day.

The service was warm and attentive and the atmosphere delivers, so I’d happily come back for drinks and the vibe but for the food alone, I’m not rushing back.

A true hidden gem in Beverly Hills; definitely an IYKYK kind of place. And Chef Kiano Moju is just the sweetest, making the whole experience feel incredibly warm and personal.

The food was outstanding. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender and so flavorful, the shrimp was extraordinary, and the beef was exceptional. The chicken wings were unbelievably tender, lemony and buttery; just so, so good. And the fufu was absolutely spot on!

There’s a communal table with first-come, first-served seating, which is all part of the charm. Everyone is so friendly that you arrive hungry and leave with your belly full and, quite possibly, a few new friends. It feels less like going out to a restaurant and more like being part of a fabulous dinner party at a friends home.

Such a special LA find; delicious, intimate and full of heart. Already looking forward to going back.
