I am so incredibly pleased and happy to announce that the University of Manitoba, in collaboration with UMSU, will be stocking campus bathrooms with free pads and tampons. The Menstrual Product Pilot Project is a year-long initiative that will see dispensers with free products installed in 8 washrooms on the Fort Garry campus, and 1 bathroom each on the Bannatyne and William Norrie Centre sites. This is something I have been working on since day 1 of my term and am so happy to see it come to fruition. This is a great step on the path of eliminating period poverty and stigma surrounding menstruation. Period products are not luxury, they are a necessity. No one should have to sacrifice their education, or anything for that matter, simply because they are menstruating. This landmark announcement would not be possible without the help of @christinenya , the UMSU Women's Representative. Thank you so much for your efforts always. It is so empowering to be in a position that allows me to work alongside passionate, talented individuals, particularly strong women 🙂. It is so inspiring to be a part of a university community that not only upholds a strong standard of higher education, but also recognizes and works to address the many barriers to accessible education. mid-heat wave reminder: cutting down on your individual use of plastic, eating less meat, taking the bus, taking short showers, are nice ways to lessen your ecological footprint, but remember that no individual action will ever be enough to offset the carbon emissions, pollution and environmental damage done by major corporations and the capitalist world in general. This is a lie we have all been fed to ensure that we stay ignorant and blind to the real, systemic instigators of climate damage. MIXXX 1 OUT NOWWWWW LINK IN BIO🥺🎀✨💞I actually finished recording this in September, but I didn’t have a closing song. then life got really really busy and I got trapped in this dumb cycle of self-doubt. Spending every day thinking about my music and wanting to play but stuck with the mentality of “well I’m not meant to be a dj if I can’t dedicate my time to making my mix”. First of all - what is that thinking 😭🤣 we are all busy sometimes!! second- it’s not like I wasn’t listening to songs looking for a closing track, or enjoying music or pairing songs to play whenever I listen…. I have never really had a chance in life to express creativity and have always been sort of bound by logic. I’ve always felt too rational to believe in my own ability to create. But I really don’t believe that art should be defined by what content you can produce but rather how you feel and interact with your medium. With that said, I really wanted to get this done before 2024 ended and I am so happy I finally did 🥺If you know me you know I love to be the last one on the floor at 7am, dancing in front of the speakers until my feet hurt. I am so happy now to be moving into the space of not only respect and genuine passion for music but also to be starting to create!! So exciting for me 🥺🥺 but also very scary!!! I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree - Political Science and History double major!! The greatest achievement of my undergrad was successfully advocating for the university of manitoba to provide free pads and tampons on campus. My second greatest achievement was staying alive 🙏🏻🥳 Very privileged to be able access higher education when so many in the world are deprived of it. Including those in war zones where my tuition dollars are funding the very weapons causing them harm.Grateful to Creator for this life. Grateful to my friends for what they see in me. Grateful for the mandatory rec fee for my gym membership to have me looking this good. 💯I’ll post a long(er) and sappy caption on @victoriadoingstuff I think…. by @v2r04

I always forget the full version of the word “quad” is “quadrangle”. Also quirky that the grass space is in a circle while quads are usually square (quad = four sides). by @v2r04
