Tonight I took myself to the beach for dinner and sat and watched the waves while reading my book, oh and I shopped a little 😜. It’s something I’ve done many times this last year. It’s my happy place, and where I feel the most peace.

I was reflecting on this past year and who I am because of it. It has come with a lot of trials and loss, more than I’ve ever experienced, and it was on my heart to share more in hopes it will help someone else going through something hard.

Life will always come with trials and pain, no one is exempt from it. BUT, my relationship with Jesus has changed how life could have looked if I didn’t have him. Community, friends, and family especially is so important, but no one is able to save you from some of the pain you experience in life, only Jesus.

He has given me the gift of joy amidst pain, and hope for the good plans he still has for me. He has comforted me when I felt overwhelming sadness, and provided for me even in my worry and fear. We are called to be salt and light to the people around us so I am sharing in hopes that you will also experience the goodness that Jesus has for you, even when life is hard. 🤍

It is with both heavy hearts, and the peace that comes from knowing God’s promises, that we announce the passing of our beloved Nana, Priscilla Purtell. 🤍

Nana loved Jesus with all her heart, and her faith was the foundation of her and my Papaws, Jack Purtell’s life. She cherished her family above all else and showed her love in countless ways. We’ll always remember her sweet long hugs, her amazing southern cooking, and how she always made all our favorite desserts for every occasion. Most of all, she always made sure to remind us of how special we are to her.

While our hearts will miss her more than words can say, we have so much peace knowing she is home with Jesus. What a beautiful reunion that must have been. If you have a Nana , hug her tight!

My heart will never be the same ❤️‍🩹🤍 Pepper was the best companion and got me through the hardest times of my life. I cant picture a life without her and 4 years was far too short. She was so loved, my little sweetie always by my side. Poppy and I will miss her more than anything, the biggest loss and my heart can’t comprehend it. Her love for me was so pure.
