One week to go but there is still time!! We are reading The Art Thief by Michael Finkel. We will be discussing the book Wednesday October 7th 7-8pm at the Jobe House.

Bring a question you would like to ask the group, and bring a suggestion for the next art or business related book you think other artists would be interested in for the next book for us to read. by @vaeraleigh

We have a new exhibition with an Opening Reception and Book Signing this first Friday, October 2nd, "Skipping Sundays" Photographs by Heather Evans Smith (@heatherevanssmith) at Jobe House 6:30-8:30pm.

In "Skipping Sundays," Evans Smith reflects on her Methodist upbringing in a rural North Carolina town, revealing how a steadfast belief has always remained just out of reach. Through imagery, she explores the complicated dynamics of religion and faith, as well as the feelings of isolation that can occur when one's beliefs differ with those of those around them. How is it that some can wholeheartedly embrace traditional faith while the rest of us are left questioning?

Can you believe it's the start of October this week?!

If you feel the rest of this year is flying by, why not slow down this First Friday. Stop in at Jobe House and enjoy the opening reception and book signing of the new exhibition "Skipping Sundays" Photographs by Heather Evan Smith (@heatherevanssmith). This exhibition is part of @clickphotofest Festival.

Then this Saturday and Sunday @birdlandraleigh and @Rebusworks see the show Shadows. Birdland will be open 1-4pm.
