I love mankind, he said, “but I find to my amazement that the more I love mankind as a whole, the less I love man in particular.” - The Brothers Karamazov, Fyodor Dostoevsky ✒️

This isn’t a review; how can you "review" something that feels so sacred?

This novel confronts life’s biggest, most unanswerable questions: faith, free will, suffering, morality, love, and the constant tension between belief and doubt. I found myself underlining entire passages, often returning to a single sentence just to let it sink in.

It asks difficult questions: How do we cope with pain? What does faith mean when everything seems unjust? How do we endure suffering we can’t explain? What kind of God would allow this? And if we turn away from that God, what do we replace Him with?

The "Grand Inquisitor" chapter is enough to leave you stunned. It forces you to question what people truly want: truth and freedom, or comfort and control?

This book doesn’t offer easy answers perhaps no answers at all but it makes you care deeply about the questions. Faith, guilt, freedom, forgiveness nothing is simple in this book. And maybe that’s how life is too.

If you’ve read it, you’ll understand. If you haven’t yet, don’t hesitate. It’s worth it. ☕📚

A week of reading, aka me trying to fight my way out of a reading slump 📖

📖 : No Lie by Freida Mcfadden

Read so many bad reviews for this one online, so I went in with pretty low expectations. But honestly? It kept me engaged throughout, and after months of reading slump, that’s all I could’ve asked for. No regrets picking this one up.
