Meet Lieutenant Rob Murphy – St Augustine City Firefighter

For Rob Murphy, becoming a firefighter with the St. Augustine Fire Department begins his second career. In the fire service for over ten years now, Murphy appreciates the fact that firefighters, though coming from all walks of life, come together for the common goal of helping those in the community.

julioramos8142 - "Destiny Favors The Prepared "

This was our second attempt at taking the Foundations Skills Assessment test for Yogi and myself. It took a lot on both our ends to bond and work together. But we persevered.

austinweishel Hard to believe, two of the four statues commissioned by the State of Florida are now officially dedicated!

It was an honor to work with the State of Florida on the creation and dedication of this new bronze statue of James Monroe, unveiled in the Florida Keys in recognition of America's upcoming 250th anniversary.

Monroe's leadership help shape the nation at a pivotal moment in its history, from the acquisition of Florida to the Monroe Doctrine, which defined America's role in the Western Hemisphere. This statue was sculpted entirely by hand to reflect that quiet authority, resolve, and permanence.

Grateful for the opportunity to be part of a project that honors American history and places it back into the public square where it belongs.

Thank you to the State of Florida and @flgovrondesantis for the opportunity to create a lasting moment for future generations.

A huge thank you to FDOT for their support and rapid setup to help make this dedication possible.

citystaugfire Today, members from our department were honored to attend Fire Service Day at the Capitol to highlight one of the initiatives we're especially proud-our Spark the Flame girl's camp.

Our booth represented not only the City Fires program, but girl's fire camps being hosted throughout the state, including @tallahasseefire with whom we shared the booth.

We were proud to meet with Representatives like our local Kim Kendall to share information and advocate for the opportunities that our camps provide.

Thanks to everyone who put on this meaningfully event and the State Fire Marshal's office for the invitation.
