No saben cuántas veces he tenido malos entendidos con mi hermano, mis tíos, mis papás, abuela, amigos...

Some people are here to watch you win battles, not to help you through them

And yes, some are amazing cheerleaders, they'll scream your name and coax you on "come on, you can do it!"

And it's just that. They're not here to actually lend a hand, they just love observing you do what you do best - win.

And if you ask them why, they'll excitedly say "because I know how strong you are"

Love them for it. We all need some cheering, but the marathon is won by us, not by them

Keep your eye on the finish line, take any metaphorical water bottles and bananas people will offer you as they watch you win one more medal ❤️

Good luck

My dad is a self made man

He's been everything under the sun, and today he's the birthday boy

German, stoic and a little guarded ,
My father has learned through hardships
He wasn’t given a silver spoon, but he definitely made sure to work hard to be able to feed me from one

He taught me to dance under the rain,
When I’ve called him, scared of thunder, he told me

When I’ve felt my light dim,
His tranquil prayers and love have been my light

He taught me that leaving home isn’t a bad thing, as long as you lay down solid foundations for when you come back

He showed me how to tell a joke when people seem a little too serious

He also taught me to analyze the numbers - if there’s a 70% chance of success , jump in head first

He shows me every day that being deeply spiritual doesn’t negate your desire for making money, and bask in the material
It’s called ✨balance✨

And for years he’s shown me what it is to persevere, persevere and persevere

Thanks to him I’ve become a firefly in the darkest nights, dancing my way through the fires, and making the Devil giggle and maybe become an angel once again

I am not fearful, I love endlessly, my heart remains open, with soft little thorns to protect it, thorns made by his constant prayers and protection of me
