“Where there is a woman, there is magic.”

Today we celebrate, honor and embrace the women in our lives. The women who created us, the ones who came before, and the women we aspire to become.

I believe it is important to elevate one another, hold hands through the dark times and create communities that celebrate the wins of all women.

To the magical women in my life - I celebrate you today, and every day. To have been raised by the most powerful, brave, creative, and resilient women is one of the greatest gifts of my life. I look to them daily for guidance, clarity and love. Every day I am privileged to be surrounded by women entrepreneurs, change makers, mothers and healers.

Hey Parents, did you know we work with teens & young adults!?

Adolescence and early adulthood can be a time of tremendous change, physically, emotionally, and socially. It can also be a time when new symptoms, stressors, and questions about health begin to emerge.

Dr. Lindsay is interested in creating a supportive space for young people to better understand their bodies and feel more comfortable talking about their health.

She is particularly interested in supporting teens and young adults with:

• Stress, anxiety, and emotional wellbeing
• Sleep and energy
• Digestion and appetite
• Headaches and tension
• Pain and physical discomfort
• Hormonal changes and menstrual health
• Cycle education and regulation
• Navigating the physical and emotional changes of adolescence
• General wellness and building healthy patterns early in life

For parents, it can sometimes be difficult to know when something your teen is experiencing is simply part of growing up and when it may be worth seeking additional support.

Acupuncture can be one part of a larger approach to care, alongside their primary medical providers and other appropriate support. Dr. Lindsay’s goal is to give young people a place where they can feel heard, learn more about their bodies, and develop tools for caring for themselves as they grow.

If you have a teen or young adult who could benefit from this kind of support, Dr. Lindsay would love to work with them.

Filled with gratitude 💫

To be a woman-owned business, and to be in business with these women, is one of the greatest achievements of my life.

When I first began hiring associate acupuncturists, it was difficult to release control over the practice I had curated and crafted over many years. I had fears about whether they would show up for my business, my practice, my labor of love, in the same way I could.

What I’ve learned from these women is that they don’t have to do it just as I do.

They bring their own perspectives, experiences, strengths, and ways of caring for people. They complement what I’ve built, support the vision I have for Valenti Acupuncture, and honor the purpose and values of this practice, sometimes in ways I never could have imagined.

And that has been one of the greatest gifts of building a team.

I’m so proud of the women we’re becoming as a practice, and so honored to work alongside such a diverse and talented group of people.

We are women. We are queer. We are immigrants. We are wives. We are mothers. We come from different places and carry different stories, perspectives, and traditions.

And we are here, together, to support you on your journey toward healing.

I’m so thankful you’ve chosen to trust us with your care. 🤍

Everything in Eastern Medicine is based on mirroring nature - tuning in to what’s happening around and within us to determine the appropriate pattern diagnosis.

I’m always inspired to share the beauty of this medicine creatively. Slowing down to really amplify its magnificence. I have so much to share from this shoot, but for now I’ll share the words from an oracle card I’ve never forgotten.

• WE ARE NATURE •

We’ve built a world on top of the world. If you look up the word ‘nature’ in a dictionary you’ll see a reference to plants, animals, and landscapes as opposed to humans. We speak of ‘getting into nature’ or ‘getting grounded” as something we need to do.

We’ve forgotten that we don’t exist in nature - we are nature.

Dinner Invite Attached: 💌

After two weeks of exploring what is named one of the most scenic drives in the entire world (Icefields Parkway) with endless turns of dramatic glacial peaks, crisp mountain air, mossy forests and vibrant blue waters, I am feeling more inspired than ever to invite you to our upcoming event, Herbs and Harvest.

We have curated a menu based on Traditional Eastern Medicine, blending both medicinal food and herbal formulas.

During my studies, I was lucky enough to learn from Dr. Yuan Wang. While growing up in China Dr. Wang learned to cook by helping her mother and grandmother prepare meals for the extended family. During our Eastern Nutrition teachings she would bring medicinal foods to every class, and encouraged us to explore different recipes with foods that held potent medicinal properties. Since learning from her, I’ve always been passionate about preparing recipes from her cookbook and using food for medicine and deeper connection with community.

Dr. Lindsay Mooradian, acupuncturist and passionate herbalist will pair each course with a medicinal herbal formula that shares the energetic properties of each course.

This slow and intentional dining experience invites you to gather around the table, learn about herbs, and discover how food can be both delicious and nourishing.

We hope to see you there! taken in Valenti Acupuncture by @valentiacu

🌾 transitioning to the yin season 🌿

In a few weeks we will begin the subtle shift from summer into fall and the descending of yang into the season of yin.

Late summer is traditionally seen as the season of harvest, a time when the hard work of spring and summer comes to fruition. In TCM, this concept extends beyond the physical act of harvesting crops to encompass the harvesting of energy, health, and balance within ourselves.

Just as farmers gather crops, we are called to harvest the energy we’ve cultivated throughout the year. This is the time to nourish our bodies, reflect on our growth, and prepare for the coming transition into autumn. Preparing not only what we would like to harvest from the year thus far, but also what we would like to release physically and energetically in the fall.

By aligning ourselves with the Earth element, we can create a strong foundation that will carry us through the rest of the year. taken in Valenti Acupuncture by @valentiacu
