Hill Repeats – one of my favourite workouts!!

Currently i’m coming back from a stomach bug that took me out for a week, I’m finally feeling good again! Just easy running until now, but excited to get back to proper training with 15 days to go until the European Road Championships in Brussels (10K!).

Nothing beats ~30s slight uphill reps—just the right mix of speed and effort.

🔥 Engages & strengthens the posterior chain (glutes, hamstrings, calves) more than flat running
🔥 Improves anaerobic power & lactate tolerance—something I really struggled with after a long base phase (running just over LT2 pace felt like death although I was producing around 4.5mmol lactate only ☠️)
🔥 Trains a strong running form. I’m trying to stay smooth under fatigue—crucial for track prep

Overall a solid and fun way to bridge winter base training to faster track work. Loving this session!
