“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11

Brought it home 5/31 🥇

Very excited to finally be posting these, as this competition gave me so much to work for. It was a good representation of diving into a new life, and living with the mistakes I’ve made.

All glory to Jesus Christ as he’s guided me in these rough few months, and has continued to give me unwavering strength in every way.

Thank you @zacharyastrongman, @dct17, @rise_of_the_strongmen and the rest of the @risegymtx Strongman Community for encouraging me to try out strongman lifting, and coaching me through every step.

Thank you @x_oki and @joaquin_garza65 for not only being the best training partners, but being the best competition I’ll ever have.

And thank you to those who helped me these past 6 months, I am eternally grateful!

Fully into the “early 20s running hobby” trend, and comparing the physique with the “early 20s lifting hobby”

I’ve picked up running over the past couple of months for preparation of a new career and I’m extremely happy with my progress so far. In no means do I think I’m an above average runner but I know I’m a better runner than I was this time last year, which is all I need for myself

I only put “fastest” mile cause it’s my fasted recorded during a continued mile during a training session and not a PR attempt

I CAN tell the physique is not as big as it was, nor am I strong as I was, but I feel just as good mentally and physically as I did last year, which I’m blessed to be able to say

Above everything, I want to run more than lifters do, and lift more than runners do, but NOT labeled a cross-fitter by @varmint.training

Heavy log: 5x3 at 180lbs
First slide: first set
2nd slide: last set

Comparing the two is interesting, both im very happy with my form and mechanics, 2nd one just takes longer and last rep moves my feet.

Thank you @_sweet_pea_73 for walking me through my form, it’s been a great difference in training. And thank you @masters_strongdad for the strength via red bandana.

5/26: ≈16 second deadlift medley w/comp weight, last day of comp training. Didn’t feel hot on the first few reps, but this one was good on my last few runs. Getting used to wearing flats with the dead’s and being off of dead’s for 9 days. 5 days from comp! by @varmint.training

5/12: Surprise PR! 225lbs. Missed the first press, but caught it and finished on the second push. Got the lock out (after further review). My cleans are in top form recently, and I think this kinda proves it. Huge thanks to @joaquin_garza65 and @zacharyastrongman for the hype by @varmint.training
