There is abundant joy in watching a student grow through music esp when she knows to get on the nerves of her guru!!!

I'm happy to share this video with Nitika Pande nitikapandee Just the swara passage from "Marivere Gathi", the timeless composition of Sri Shyama Shastri in the soulful Raga Ananda Bhairavi.

Nitika is sincere and dedication, and has a genuine love for music. It is always heartening to see kutties grow up into mini adults!! And i realize that in this video!!

Wishing her many more enriching musical experiences in the years to come. @vidya_raj2022

I hope you enjoy this!

With love,
Vasudha Ravi

Hey Chicago!!! Looking forward to be part of Sangeeth Natya Utsav 2026 at The Hindu Temple of Greater (Lemont temple), Chicago.

It is a privilege to present the Dr. Ramamurthy mama’s Memorial Concert, that too with double mridangam!! I remember the last time Ramamoorthy mama attended my concert it was with almost the same team in Chicago!!

I'm happy to perform alongside such wonderful accompanying artistes:

🎻 Sri. Rishabh Ranganathan – Violin @rangoon247
🥁 Sri. N. C. Bharadwaj – Mridangam @ncb.mridangam
🥁 Sri. Vishwak Kumaran – Mridangam @vishvakkumaran

Huge thanks to RR international Raghu sir and Ranganathan ji for all the effort in making this happen! If you're in and around Chicago, I'd be delighted to have you join us for an afternoon of Carnatic music.

With love and gratitude,
Vasudha Ravi 🙏

One of the most rewarding parts of my musical journey has been guiding students, making them realize with greater confidence the creativity, and depth in their music.

I'm looking forward to an interactive workshop with the students of RASAA @raginisrimani @raginisriacademyofarts , where we'll explore practical ways to bridge the gap between intermediate and advanced learning in Carnatic music.

We'll discuss not just techniques, but also the mindset, listening habits, manodharma, voice culture, and consistent practice that help shape a musician over time.

See you soon! 🙏

📅 Tuesday, 22 September 2026
🕔 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Exclusive for RASAA Students

An evening I'll always cherish. 🙏🎶

Performing at Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai, as part of the Centenary Celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi's Sangeetha Seva, was a truly humbling experience.

Presenting a concert that traced M.S. Amma's extraordinary musical journey was both an honour and a responsibility. Every composition reminded me of her timeless artistry and the values she embodied through music.

My heartfelt thanks to Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha for this wonderful opportunity, to my fellow artistes for their inspiring support on stage, and to every rasika who filled the auditorium with warmth and encouragement.

Sharing a few moments from this memorable evening.

With gratitude,
Vasudha Ravi 🙏
