Last night's presentation was fulfilling. Some community members attended and witnessed the full scope of PROJECT50 services.
The presentation featured an impactful service testimony from a client, an award reading from one of our young panelists and a volunteer sharing the importance of the relationship between the community and law enforcement.

We like to provide updates on our Young and Gifted conference panelists.

From our first group we have Abrianna. So far she still holds the top spot as the youngest panelist at 13-years-old at the time.

Abrianna has continued her journey with pageant participation, good grades, volleyball and equestrian riding.

Today is her birthday, Happy Birthday Abrianna🎂

We are proud of this relationship. Take a few minutes and read while you drink your coffee this morning. Our work speaks for itself. We not only helped the EDC with their enrollment, we held our own class with a phenomenal instructor Mr Darrell Gooden PhD @darrellb2017 and support from two great platforms @ccmera4biz x @the.mack.foundation by @vcproject50

The NFL is approximately 56% Black players and the NBA is approximately 70% Black players. Stop listening to politicians and podcast people on what we need. STOP ASKING!

Over a 4 year period, we have built a successful platform for the Black community, offering services, opportunities and youth engagement through our own conference.

Black community, think about this for a minute. Imagine a PROJECT50 platform in all 50 states with a few Black athletes donating 150K per year.

There would be no need for grants or outside support and we could solve our own problems and deal with our own issues.

This isn't a dream, it exists right now in Ventura County.

Our support for Black Owned Business continues.

Some Ventura County community members don't have the access or insurance coverage to certain things or transportation, so we want to do our part.

For the month of September we are doing a paid partnership/sponsorship with MediZoom Transportation, LLC to provide specific transportation services to ANYONE while sponsored services last.

If you have upcoming appointments that fit the mentioned service, contact the number on the flyer to book it.

1. Wheelchair transportation within a 10-mile radius.

Attending the 2026 Youth Organizing Summit today in Santa Barbara, and if you are not listening to young people, you are designing the future of America all wrong.
We ran into one of our Young and Gifted Conference Panelists from group 2, Greceldy @greceldy
We got a chance to hear the youngest person ever voted in to Santa Barbara City Council (Wendy Santamaria). When she won, she was 26, now 29.
The young students here are very engaging in the topic of organizing. by @vcproject50

On March 14th, 2026 we received an award for the work we do in and for the Black community of Ventura County. Sometimes the work we do is not popular, not even to the Black community itself.
On this night our acceptance speech was about Ventura County Law Enforcement and DA office trying to give a Black man 3-5 years in prison for something he did not do.
When power and privilege interfere with justice, the entire system is compromised. by @vcproject50

Just not knowing what to do can be the hardest and most harmful part of ANY process.
